Waterhead Restaurant Ambleside - Lakelovers Recommendations

Waterhead Restaurant, Ambleside

Bar & Grill

Waterhead Restaurant

The restaurant presents a bright, modern setting with elegant subdued décor and interesting lighting adding a contemporary element, all of which serves to create an intimate relaxed environment.

The bar area, which opens out onto the garden terrace, is equally bright and modern whilst maintaining Lakeland character and an elegant appeal. The bar offers an all day menu and the perfect setting to enjoy the views of the lake and the historic steamers dropping passengers off at the jetties opposite.

Our menus are a celebration of the fantastic local produce on offer in the area. Cumbria has historically been famous for its food, in the 18th century there was an influx of exotic spices which inspired many Cumbrian regional specialities we know and love today such as the Cumberland sausage, Grasmere gingerbread, Kendal mint cake and many more local favourites which are all spiced or sugar based. Our head chef, Andy Caulfield, and his kitchen brigade celebrate some of the finest Cumbrian produce available whilst adding innovative culinary twists on some of the local classics.

Starters from £6.50, Main Courses from £13.50, Desserts from £6.25
