How long have you worked for Lakelovers?

Almost 4 years, I started in May 2018.

What do you love most about the Lake District?

The fantastic walks and beautiful scenery.

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy baking. Then to counteract the baking I try and make time to go running on the trails around my home in Windermere.

I also enjoy going out into the fells. I have been ticking off the Wainwrights and have recently reached 100 – only another 114 to go!

Where is your favourite place to eat?

No better place than a sheltered spot on a fell with an amazing view. I have had some lovely meals at Masons Arms, Cartmel Fell, and The Punchbowl Inn at Crosthwaite.

What is your favourite food?

It has to be a cheese & pickle sandwich while out walking in the fells.

What three words would you use to describe Lakelovers?

Helpful, friendly, and experienced.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about holidaying in The Lake District?

Come to the Lake District there is so much to do and see – even when it’s raining! There is nowhere else quite like it.

Have you stayed in one of our properties?

I haven’t, but I hope to soon!

In your opinion, what is the most scenic spot in the area?

I love Loughrigg Tarn and the view across to the Langdale Pikes.

If someone is looking for an amazing holiday, what are the best activities to try in the area?

Walking in the fells or low-level walks, especially with a pub at the end to sample a local real ale. Or, if you are an adrenaline junkie the Via Ferrata at Honister Slate mine – too scary for me but it looks and sounds amazing.
