Let us introduce to you Gaynor, Regional Marketing Executive for the Lake Brands.

How long have you worked for Lakelovers?

3 years

What do you love most about the Lake District?

The amazing scenery and clean, fresh air are second to none.

What do you do in your spare time?

Climb, walk the mountains and cycle. I basically enjoy anything outdoors, now we get to explore it all with Thomas, our 9-year-old son.

Where is your favourite place to eat?

There are lots of great places! Around Windermere, I like the The Tilly and Urban Food House in Bowness.

What is your favourite food?

Anything tasty really – although you cannot go wrong with well-prepared pub grub

What three words would you use to describe Lakelovers?

Superior, well-known, and established

What would you say to someone who is thinking about holidaying in The Lake District?

Unesco world heritage site. That says it all.

Have you stayed in one of our properties?

Yes, I’ve stayed in numerous Sykes Cottages and their sister brands around the UK.

In your opinion, what is the most scenic spot in the area?

Driving into Langdale Valley always amazes me.

If someone is looking for an amazing holiday, what are the best activities to try in the area?

At Brockhole Visitor Centre you can enjoy Treetop treks and nets, at Grizedale and Whinlatter it’s Go Ape. Enjoy ghyll scrambling, and the via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine is great too. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing try some paddleboarding on the lake or just some wild swimming.. remember to stay safe!
