The whisperings of the Christmas break are getting a little more excitable as we get closer to the holidays. 1. Festive Family Gathering

The goose is getting fat and if for you, Christmas is all about the bringing together of family and friends, you’re in good company and what better place than the Lake District for a luxury location. Book a large cottage and have your nearest and dearest all under one roof.

Here you can cook together, eat, drink and be merry. And, of course, you can take to the outdoors to walk off all that festive food or simply settle down in front of an open fire to play games and talk turkey. Here the emphasis is on a paired-back style and quality as opposed to an overindulgent and fussy Christmas.
