We’ll be attending the following events in 2026:

 Ambleside Sports

30th July 2026

A much-loved Lake District tradition featuring fell races, athletics, local stalls, family entertainment and more.

 Cartmel Show

5th August 2026

A fantastic agricultural show celebrating rural life, local food, livestock competitions, shopping and entertainment.

 Westmorland County Show

9th & 10th September 2026

One of the region’s premier agricultural events showcasing farming, food, countryside traditions, shopping and family-friendly attractions.

Terms & Conditions

1. The Competition prize is made up of a £250 voucher, which can be used on a stay at any property listed with Lakelovers, Lake District Lodge Holidays, Sykes Holiday Cottages and any of the regional brands associated with them.
2. The competition is open only to visitors of Ambleside Sports (30 July 2026), Cartmel Show (5 August 2026) and the Westmorland County Show (9–10 September 2026).
3. Entries must be completed in person at the Lakelovers stand using the official competition entry form and during the relevant event.
4. One entry per person.
5. Entries for each show will close at the end of that event’s opening hours. The overall competition will close at the end of the Westmorland County Show on 10 September 2026. Entries received after the applicable closing time will not be eligible.
6. The winner will receive a £250 Lakelovers holiday voucher.
7. The winner will be selected at random after the final event and contacted using the details provided on their entry form.
8. The prize of the £250 holiday voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
9. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
10. The competition prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer; is non-transferable and there shall be no alternative prize or cash alternative offered.
11. Sykes Cottages will not be held accountable for any costs, losses, damages, and expenses (including travel fees) that the winner may incur in relation to the Competition or prize or as a result of any misrepresentation of the prize.
12. The prize winner is required to pay the ‘good housekeeping bond’ associated with booking this property. Please see section 4.12 of our booking conditions for more information.
13. The winner will be contacted by Lakelovers directly.
