Not five star because we felt a welcome pack would have been helpful.
We stripped beds off as asked and found mattress protectors stained and had hairs on them not filthy but felt these let a lovely property down.Shoe rack would have been better at entrance door end not by door not used. All in it is a lovely property with amazing attention to detail would definitely recommend.
The cottage was beautiful!
However with the bedroom windows open it was noisy from the other house. We couldn’t turn the outside lights off which meant on a starry night it wasn’t as lovely as it could have been. It would be amazing if this could be a dark skies area. The facilities, decoration and comfort in the cottage was perfect and the fact that the showers all stayed hot after a big hike was great.
We loved staying at The Old Bunkhouse and it was much more spacious than we were expecting.
The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated and the property is clearly very well maintained. The views over towards Easedale were lovely in the morning and it was lovely to walk from the cottage straight up into the hills. We would definitely stay again.
