Interior of cottage is beautiful, loved the modern kitchen and bathroom.
The kitchen is overlooked by cottages opposite and the large window is bare, it could benefit from a blind especially in the dark nights. The garden is nice and looks to be currently under development, it's secure for dogs. On the other side of the garden wall is the A595, which is a very busy road and you can hear the traffic from the cottage. It would have been very helpful to have intructions somewhere on operating oven/grill. There is no welcome pack, which is usually the norm when we have stayed at cottages, however you do get an email which welcomes you to use the food in a pull out drawer next to the oven. The food inside this drawer, mostly sauces and spices, on having a look seemed to be mostly out of date items left by previous occupants, cake mix and katsu sauce 6 months expired, crushed chilli from 2023 etc, this was quite off putting and really needs a good clean out.
Yew Tree Cottage is very well equipped, very comfortable and we had a lovely two weeks.
