Leaving the road, Horrockwood is approached along a private track to where the farmhouse stands looking out across the fields to Ullswater and the high fells beyond.
As you approach the farmyard the ancient barns are occasionally used by the local farmer.
Passing through the gate and from the parking area a little path leads to the terraced garden and the front door.
Stepping inside, the cosy lounge is furnished with comfortable sofas arranged around the feature fireplace with its welcoming open fire and TV making it the idea place to relax in the evening.
The large dining and sitting room sits in the middle of the house.
Beneath the oak beams and in front of the original fireplace the large family dining table plays host to family celebrations or social and relaxing dinners with friends.
The sitting area is arranged to benefit from the beautiful views to Ullswater and across the valley and from here patio doors open directly to the terrace with picnic table.
The well equipped kitchen offers all you could need and is equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker with double oven and dishwasher.
