Ullswater View House

Absolutely fantastic stay!

The accommodation was very well equipped with everything you could want, including an air fryer! All rooms having an en suite was fantastic. Super clean and comfortable. The views from the house were beautiful! Great WiFi, selection of games and books as well. Very thoughtful welcome basket also. Other people were using the driveway which would be my only comment as it was confusing at times. Would love to return to this stunning property.

Fabulous house, has everything you need.

With 5 us staying it was lovely have en-suit and spacious bedrooms! High quality bedding and furnishings. Kitchen equipment top class! Living area spacious and comfortable & cosy and just big house we loved it. Outdoor area lovely with comfortable chairs/seating! View was amazing from every window and door & garden. We had 3 small dogs and having secure area to let them off was great, we didn’t have to worry about them getting out. Huge parking space for 4 or more cars! House is not far from Pooley bridge & Glenridden for local shops. Windermere & Keswick around 30-40 mins drive depending on the route you take. Thank you Julie for the warm welcome & thank you for being at hand if we needed anything. We will definitely be back soon.

This place is just amazing.

Waking up to the view, seen by all of the rooms which are beautifully decorated, you have everything and more. Kitchen well catered for and really big, ideal for the larger parties attending. Lots of space to get lost in and find your own corner for peace when needed. Everything is spotless and had all amenities required. Dog friendly and our dogs loved going to the local boat landing for splashing in the water. Lots of dog friendly restaurants nearby if you don’t want to cook and the food available from them never disappointed. Very reasonably priced too. Quiet evenings by the patio with a nice cuppa and early mornings were very much the best part of our trip. If you don’t like the hustle and bustle of Lake Windermere or Bowness-On-Windermere, then Ullswater View is definitely the place to stay. It’s easy access to the A66 for Keswick and Buttermere or even more popular main stream shops such as Sainsbury’s etc, and only 20 mins from Ambleside through the infamous Kirkstone pass, which, is one of the most stunning drives. Julie the host so knowledgeable on where to go, what to do and on hand if we needed anything at all. We are just so desperate to come back. Thank you for an amazing holiday Julie and making this trip so special for us.

A real gem i a great location with wonderful views.

The owner Julie was on hand if we needed anything and was really helpful and friendly. We couldn’t fault the cottage at all, very clean (spotless) comfortable beds well equipped kitchen and very warm and cosy all round

Property was spotless on arrival and we were welcomed with a lovely welcome basket of treats!

I cannot fault this property every bedroom had an en-suite complete with robes which was a lovely touch. Views were amazing! Kitchen had everything you needed and managed to cook a full roast for 8! The only thing what lets the house down is that there is no enclosed garden! I would stay again but when I looked for the same week next year the price has more than doubled! Yes it is a lovely house but sorry I can’t justify the price for next year. I would expect an enclosed garden, with hot tub!

The property is fabulous in its condition, style and comfort.

So well maintained and clean. A lovely welcome pack, comfy beds and warm, peaceful and quiet. Excellent En suites to each room, suited our family gathering just fine. The owner's daughter was on hand next door if required which was also quite reassuring - but once we found the roving Hive thermostat for the heating on arrival, we didn't need anything. The owner also kept in touch with us by phone. Thank you so much.

We stayed for three nights and Ullswater View House was just perfect!

! The decor and attention to detail is superb. The house was warm, everything you needed was can provided and the furnishings were comfortable. The bedrooms and en-suites in all rooms would have put many 5* hotels to shame! An absolute gem of a property. We will return!!

EVERYTHING WAS HIGH QUALITY, CONFORTABLE,THOUGHTFUL AND RELAXING. THE KITCHEN AND UTILITY ROOM FEATURED HIGH-QUALITY APPLIANCES AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED.THE BEDS WERE SO COMFORTABLE. CLEARLY A GREAT DEAL OF THOUGHT HAD GONE IN BY JULIE THE HOST.
