The property

Oak House is a beautifully renovated Victorian townhouse situated just a five minute walk from the vibrant centre of Keswick, and close to the beautiful Derwentwater Lake.

Located nearby to all the amenities, this superb Keswick holiday property is sure to "tick all the boxes" for a break as an extended family or a perhaps few couples wishing to stay together, in a luxury holiday home with a spacious feel.

Whatever you choose, there is much to do in the North Lakes area from fine fell walking to low valley rambles, lake cruises, Theatre by the Lake and excellent local shopping.

Keswick is a year-round destination and popular with all ages. Accommodation: Entrance to the rear into utility area with room to hang coats and leave muddy boots.

Dining room has a table large enough to seat eight, with a tablecloth and napkins available in the sideboard for making a meal extra special.

The lounge has a flatscreen TV with Freeview channels, DVD, radio/cd/Bluetooth speaker, free Wi-fi and wood burning stove.

Pretty front entrance hallway with Minton tiled floor reflecting the Victorian character of the house with stairs leading up to four bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the first floor half landing is the family bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower, basin and wc.

Up a couple of steps to two bedrooms - a large master bedroom to the front with super king size bed and luxury en-suite with large shower, basin and wc.

Second bedroom is another cosy room with a super king-size bed.

The third floor has two more bedrooms - a king size room to the front and twin room to the rear.

Family bathroom on this floor with large shower with seat, basin and wc. Furnishings throughout are stylish and carefully chosen with lovely attention to detail and with tasteful colour schemes completing the relaxing ambience.

There are fell views from some of the upstairs windows and gas central heating and double glazing make this a home from home in any season. Outside: Small patio to the rear of the property with seating.

On-street parking is usually available nearby.

Keswick centre 10 mins walk.

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 16.6 miles; Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
