    “This really is a fabulous property snd we hope to stay here again.”

    We were quite concerned when we received the joining instructions. These indicated difficult access via a steep hill and little lighting at night. To anyone else concerned, don't worry, it is nowhere as difficult as it reads. However, we did prefer using Stanger Street as access. We parked our car in the allocated space immediately behind the house and didn't need to use it until going home.The property is in a great location, very quiet area but so close to the town centre. We parked our car in the allocated space immediately behind the house and didn't need to use it until going home.The property is in a great location, very quiet area but so close to the town centre. We enjoyed the fabulous views and sat outside in the back garden until sunset. We found there was plenty of room inside for us - a couple. We closed the blinds and curtains and enjoyed warm cosy evenings inside. We appreciated the calm and restful decor, comfortable beds, and sofas. We found the kitchen well kitted out, quality utensils and appliances and the toaster is the same as we have at home. I have honestly never stayed in a property with as many electric sockets - so convenient. We loved staying here and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Stop by Ullswater, the second largest lake in the region, for a day of watersports or take one of the cruises across the lake and admire the views from a unique perspective. Visit the awe-inspiring Castlerigg Stone Circle or the Whinlatter Forest Park for a leisurely stroll. With so much to do, your time in 1 Millbank is sure to be unforgettable.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
