Stayed mid Aug 2026, great location right on outskirts of town.

Own parking spot which was excellent. Easy access to all surrounding locations for walks with dog or travel. House was spotless and all amenities worked very well, even had a dishwasher. The only thing I would remark on is could do with some softer pillows and quilt downstairs bedroom as they could do with a freshen up. Would definitely stay there again though most enjoyable week. Mum and dog loved it… happy mum happy life

We chose this property because it's central and as we were working at the convention all week, gave us easy access to that, and nearby shops and restaurants.

It had two bathrooms and bedrooms which was a requirement for the 4 of us (2 staff/2 students) and the kitchen/diner set up meant we could eat together every night. There's a spacious lounge and attic room up the steps all giving us lots of space. We had the downstairs room which has a little garden and seating out the back with direct access to the town which leads to Market Square with the Cornish Bakery and its delicious croissants just across the street. A short walk away across the car park and you have the most amazing views across Derwent Water. This cottage has a car space which fitted my husband's Skoda Superb easily and WiFi is provided which was mostly reliable if that's a requirement.

We had a perfect stay.

So central and clean. Everything you needed was available. The downstairs bathroom handheld shower didn’t work. It didn’t cause a problem but it would have been handy to use. We asked for a second key as it was restrictive having only one and the owner provided it immediately. The lounge tv isn’t a smart tv but the bedrooms’ are but we couldn’t get them to work as the main tv was on standby! So we didn’t bother and used our laptop so again no great inconvenience. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the best time ever staying in this cottage.

It was our second time staying here and we have already booked to go again. The cottage is immaculate and so clean. No expense has been spared. The shower is very luxurious and the best I have ever used. The kitchen is excellent and very well equipped with everything you could need and the oven is really good. Beds comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely comfortable lounge. Beautiful back garden. Fantastic location with everything on the doorstep. And added bonus having a parking space. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It is wonderful

Ideally located in Keswick if you don't mind being in town centre.

It was quieter than I expected.

Very well designed and comfortable plus convenient location near Booths, buses and the Moot hall market. Despite the central location, we were not bothered by noise. We hope we can stay here again,

The cottage is the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in , absolutely everything & more you need for a wonderful holiday , right in the middle of town , 2 minutes from bars, restaurants, supermarket and bus station , 5 minutes from the Lake and your very own parking space right outside the front door , loved sitting in the seat by the window watching the world going by ! Highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely accommodation in a central location with the added bonus of a car parking space.

The property was spacious, spotless and had everything you could need if you wanted to eat in. The lounge was really nice to relax in too. We would book this property again next time we come to Keswick

In a prime position, close to the centre of Keswick (5 minute walk). Cottage was lovely and clean on arrival and had everything you could have wished for. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Spotless cottage in an amazing location.

Big benefit having the parking space - we didn't touch the car for the whole weekend, as so many great pubs and shops within walking distance and also great walking routes on your doorstep. If we visit Keswick again in the future, will definitely be re-booking!

The place smelt amazing and was perfect for our needs

We loved it, very convenient for my elderly parents to get into town.

Very clean and well decorated. A couple of things to help would be a bigger pan, trying to cook pasta for four was a struggle in the one provided, the lock on the downstairs bathroom didn't work and we were disappointed to not have any information on recycling- everything had to go in the bin. Other than those few things it was great1 Thank you.

The cottage is beautiful and well maintained. Lots of extras too fresh milk welcome tea, coffee ect. This is a large cottage located 2 minutes from the centre. Will be booking again

A lovely property in the centre of Keswick, it was very clean and we loved the Christmas decorations.

There are plenty of place nearby to explore on foot and many more a short distance away by car.

This is our 2nd stay totally love the house the kitchen has everything you need utensil wise huge fridge and with Booths been walking distance easy do a shop it was excellent as we were there for the Christmas period We chose to sleep upstairs this time, and I must admit the bed was most comfortable.

I used the ensuite and Hubby had the downstairs bathroom.

This is a return visit to Agathi for us as we loved it so much the first time.

It didn't disappoint this time. Perfectly located directly in the centre of Keswick with a parking space and just a few minutes walk to the lake. The house itself feels really cosy and welcoming and is very comfortable with downstairs bedroom and bathroom with second bedroom and living room upstairs with a lovely warming fire

Another wonderful stay at Agatha (despite the weather, which was not kind to us on this occasion!

) Clean as always with lots of much appreciated creature comforts. Felt like home from home. Make sure you pay a visit to Hot Tram Roll for a breakfast sarnie - great food, reasonably priced and lovely bloke Mark :-)

Absolutely loved this place.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location in the heart of Keswick. Two good sized bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room as well as a bathroom and large living room. Additional sitting room upstairs which is a wonderful place just to sit and relax with a good book. Kitchen is perfect and well equipped with everything you could need. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants just a short walk away in Keswick as well as a Booths supermarket. We did several really good walks straight from the front door so didn’t even have to drive though we chose to do so on some days because this is such a beautiful part of the country. A truly wonderful week and Keswick itself is a festive wonderland at this time of year.

We have stayed in Keswick a number of times in the past few years in hotels and cottages We found this property to be perfectly located within a couple of minutes walk of all that this beautiful town has to offer The cottage was spacious plenty of room for 2 of us and a small dog, well equipped, warm and cosy The weather was cold and crisp but we managed to walk everyday to enjoy the stunning scenery around Derwentwater Had a fabulous birthday meal in steaks of the lakes - highly recommended We would book again

Added bonus of a parking space. It’s a shame that it’s managed by Sykes, who we won’t be using again.

It was the perfect place for our stay , local to the town , lake and mountains , very comfy and exactly as it looked in the photos.

Beautiful cottage well placed for exploring the local district.

Being able to park at the property was a bonus and being able to walk into Keswick in the evening to try out the many pubs. Plenty of choice for places to eat and a good variety of shops.

The Agathi cottage is lovely,well situated for Keswick centre,but is noisy from about 7am,with delivery wagons unloading close too the cottage, plus different bin collection wagons most days,Biffa two or three times a week.

Also noticeable is a fast food bacon sandwich kiosk close to the cottage, attracts noisy customers 7am onwards,and the smell of frying bacon wafts into the property especially the upstairs bedroom.

We absolutely loved this cottage and have already booked to go again next year.

Perfect location and wonderful having a parking space. The property was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The oven and hob are the best I have used in a holiday let. Very comfortable beds and plenty of storage for clothes ect. Nice outside space to sit. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners who are lovely and very helpful. Thank you for everything and can't wait to come again xx

Lovely spacious,clean,well equipped property, great location for town and lake.

Only downside was the lorry deliveries and bin lorry collections early mornings mostly about 6.30/7am, which didn't go well for holiday wind-down. I don't do early mornings.

The cottage is ideal, centrally located, a short walk to all that Keswick has to offer, more outdoor shops and public houses than you can shake a stick at and a short walk to Derwent water. Give it a try......

Perfect for a walking holiday round Keswick no need to use the car.

Very comfortable and spotless, the location makes visiting the attractions of Keswick very easy and walking of varying difficulty is also very accessible.

The welcome pack was quite underwhelming and the main oven didn’t work ( the top oven was fine).I was surprised at the total lack of spices etc The addition of an air fryer would be useful.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Keswick then this is the perfect place, if you’ve already booked, then you’re in for a treat.

Our first impressions on entering the cottage was how spotless it was. I’ve never stayed somewhere so clean and so well furnished. Plenty of handy supplies in the kitchen and hand soap in the bathroom, which is always welcome. The beds were comfortable and the lounge was a great place to relax and people watch! It is right in the heart of Keswick so can be a little noisy first thing, but this wasn’t an issue. Having everything on your doorstep is a major plus along with a parking space! The only thing I would mention is that whilst the house welcomes a dog, it is not ideal if you have a dog that likes the freedom of a back garden. There is a small outside area to sit which is a lane shared with others, so not secure and it is not meant to be used for toileting your dog. Worth knowing and we didn’t take our dog as we weren’t sure on the facilities, so just making that clear. There are plenty of parks nearby and the car park has some green space, but this might not suit everyone. Certainly not a criticism. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you.

. so comfortable and spacious. In a perfect location and we just had a fabulous week .. will definitely be going back there .. a wonderful place to stay.

The property guide said to leave the cottage clean and tidy but the vacuum cleaner bag was totally full and absolutely reeked of dog.

Disgusting. We found the bed very hard and uncomfortable. The property was well equipped. We loved the location but on the whole found the property a bit tired especially the downstairs bathroom.

Great central location for very easy access to all that Keswick has to offer and really good that parking is included.

Facilities are good at the property although we were disappointed that there were no recycling facilities so we had to take recyclable items to a public recycling facility on the other side of town. Dog owners should also note that dogs are not allowed to relieve themselves in the small garden area.

Great cottage in prime location for the center of Keswick.

Cosy and well equipped a home from home.

We loved this cottage and its location.

In the guidebook it reads ‘hot water on demand’ however we didn’t feel this to be the case, I tried to take a bath and the water firstly ran hot then very quickly came through cold. The second day I tried to take a shower in the morning, again no hot water. We stay in rental cottages quite frequently and I must say this is the only time where we have arrived and there been no tea/coffe and milk or sugar which was also a little disappointing. Other than those things we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property was beautiful. Thank you

Perfect location for walking in the Lakes and then enjoying what the local hostelries offer without having to worry about driving.

A lovely cosy cottage in a perfect position to access all the facilities of Keswick and the surrounding area.

It is well equipped although the provided bath towels are small. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our second visit to Agathi cottage in Keswick in as many years.

The cottage is ideally situated close to the town centre so a five minute walk is all it takes to get to your favourite shop / public house, as the cottage has parking which is a great benefit. The cottage on our arrival was spotlessly clean a credit to the cleaning staff. The only minor point was there were no instructions how to reset the boiler if it faulted which could be added to the welcome pack.

Excellent holiday cottage, very well equipped, great location.

It has everything you need. Just one point to mention, the large red refuse collection bin ( lockable) that is in front of the property, seems to be accessible by other users, so be mindful of how close you park your car to it.

Agatha cottage is perfect for a cosy holiday break.

It's tastefully decorated, comfortable and has all the amenities you would want. It's central location is literally one minute from the market square, so no need to use your car which has Its own parking on site. We will hopefully be visiting again in the near future.

With numerous walks straight from the door, we were able to leave the car for the whole week. Keswick town is a gem with many local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. We had a super holiday at Agathi Cottage and look forward to returning in the near future.

A lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Keswick.

The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay . You only need to walk out of the door to visit shops, bars, the lake and parks plus the surrounding fells. We have stayed at Agathi numerous times and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Keswick .

We love Agathi and stayed in February 23 but we feel that the beds need replacing.

The mattresses feel lumpy soft and old . Both times we tried both bedrooms and were very uncomfortable and ached. Obviously this is not great . Also kitchen needs a meat roasting tin a couple of lidded casseroles.Pads on dining chairs would stop the screeching on slate floor. Easily sorted then definitely a 5 star rating and a return from us .

It has a terrific location.

But it needs a bit of attention. For instance I also rented another cottage…why is there a huge difference in towel quality and amenities from one Lakelover cottage to another ? This one also lacks directions for the lovely gas fireplace in the Lounge ? Is it shut off until later in the fall ? The sofa needs to be covered or cleaned…we put a blanket on it :-( The beds are comfortable enough…the pillows are terrible :-(. I’m not being overly critical as much as I am wanting the owners to know how renters actually feel. To get return guests it needs to be made more inviting.

A really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a superb location, only a couple of minutes walk from all the bars, restaurants and shops in the Main Street.

Very handy for the lake and wonderful gardens and close to a good supermarket and bus station. I would recommend the Indian restaurant at the bottom of the main street and Brysons tea room is also worth a visit. No hesitation in recommending Agathl, and would certainly visit again. The only problem I had was trying to unlock the key box to deposit the keys on departure

My husband suffers from back trouble and he wasn’t happy with the bed, it was fine for myself.

I struggled with the downstairs shower as I didn’t like the large overhead one, my husband loved it! You just can’t please some people but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the position to the town was brilliant.

This was our second time at Agathi, we had an excellent stay.

It would be helpful if the property notes in the kitchen were revised to make it clear that the garden area beyond the patio belongs to next door.

very good and convenient as always, however on arrival on friday 21/april/2023 I discovered that the lounge fire had not been switched off properly after last booking, so had been burning very low since last rental

The cottage is in a great spot for everything, and we were not disturbed by the car park.

It is very comfortable, well equipped and very clean.It is ideal for 2 couples. It is Dog friendly but I think you should let people know it isn’t secure at the back patio area.

Brilliant place to stay in the beautiful town of Keswick.

Ideally located just off the Main Street and close to the wonderful pubs and places to eat that Keswick offers and the walks that are available straight from the front door are spectacular. Very comfortable accommodation with a well equipped kitchen and living area and a supermarket (Booths) just a 2 minute walk away. We had a wonderful week there and really can’t fault it.

The property was as we remembered, clean and tidy.

This cottage is ideally situated close to all the amenities within a five minute walk. Well worth a visit... We'll be back later in the year.

This was our third visit to Agathi in a year, we absolutely love the cottage and it’s location.

The cottage is well equipped and within walking distance of the pubs, restaurants and shops. The parking space is also an added bonus. Cannot fault in anyway and would highly recommend.

Great location if you don't want to use the car. Cottage was spotless with all the home comforts you need. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Upstairs shower now feels very small.

Another comfortable chair in lounge would be good. In order to use dishwasher efficiently would need more crockery and at least a couple of larger mugs would be good. Otherwise we’ll equipped. Loved the little garden but the loose tarmac / general algae growth to a lot of tread in when using it, especially with a dog.

Kettle and toaster very poor quality.

Close to amenities. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Would recommend to friends. And would return.

overall everthing was very good, ideal situation, having own parking space, the odd utensil and serving spoon had not been cleaned properly, but this is being very picky, I was very satisfied overall and would book this cottage again.

We found the property very tired with basic facilities.

The info in the cottage said not to adjust the setting on the fridge, but we needed to as after a couple of days some food had gone off and had to be thrown out. The fridge has no trays in the door limiting the space with nowhere to stand milk etc. The kettle leaked. There was a 2 slice toaster, but there was 4 of us so this was timely when making breakfast. Non-stick frying pans and trays need replacing. It needs a tumble dryer. The mirror in the main bedroom was in the cupboard not on the wall! Crockery limited. Knives and forks were uneven sizes. Smart TV needed in the lounge. We felt that we 'made do' with a lot of stuff. The bed in the upstairs bedroom moves around, the light in the en-suite kept buffering and going on and off, the extension for the TV was propped up on a chair. The cushions on the chairs in the kitchen were dirty and torn, and the cushions in the main lounge were old and worn. The location is good, walking distance to the square, but it was noisy at times being next to the main carpark, and we had to keep the blinds closed to stop passers by looking in, which made the property dark inside. The accuracy of the listing didn't meet our expectations and we feel the it is very overpriced for the poor standard of this property.

This cottage is everything you would want for a holiday in the Lake District.

Immaculately presented with more amenities included than anywhere else we have stayed. Location is amazing just 2 minutes walk into Keswick centre and 5 minutes to the lake and central for lots of great walking. Our 6th visit to this cottage and already booking the next we can’t recommend this cottage enough . Lisa and mark

Lovely cottage in a perfect location to enjoy the delights of Keswick and an ideal base from which to walk into the spectacular surrounding countryside.

Most importantly there are some really good pubs serving great ales and excellent food (highly recommend the cow pie at the George) only a stones throw away so after a long day walking in the hills it's perfect way to relax and recuperate with only a short walk home. We absolutely loved it and can't fault Agathi or Keswick.

Decorated really nice and maintained to an excellent standard.The top room above the lounge was a bonus. The location was fantastic -it literally is a few steps up an alley and you are in market square. As the weather was really wet this meant we could just pop back to dry off. Definitely recommend. Nice little extras also provided that you wouldn't normally get when self catering- soap,DW tablets, kitchen cloths and T towels, bin liners etc.Thanks for a super stay :)

The cottage is ideally situated for the town centre and for great walks either down by the Lake, Friars Cragg or into Fitz Park. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our short break. Will be back again soon!

The cottage was first rate and we would definitely go again next year,if you would like me to be picky a tray would be helpful,when carrying coffee upstairs,and a mattress topper would benefit my arthritic back,mattress was a bit hard,but these are small things all in all I would give this cottage a first class recommendation (how about a few biccies and a bottle of milk on arrive alive like most cottages offer)

Met Richard the owner who was very helpful and informative. We had lovely stay it went so quickly Perfectly situated for all the shops and pubs of which there are many. The cottage is very well equipped with all you need . The furnishing very comfy as was the bed ! Would thoroughly recommend.

We booked Agathi very last minute and were fortunate this the property was available at short notice.

We walked in on arrival and loved the cleanliness and was impressed with high quality of the decoration and its size. The owner Richard called to make sure we had arrived and to see if we had any questions or concerns - we had none. The location is excellent for both the town centre and to access the start of local walks. Out of town walks were easy to drive to so we were able to plan our days around a get up when we wake up, breakfast around the kitchen table, walk then home for a lovely meal and evening in the very comfy lounge with a fire (gas so no mess). The supermarket is a convenient 5 minute walk away so we did not need to plan food and drink too much in advance. We shall definitely book again.

Great property, ideally located.

Very clean, all the facilities you need. Great with car space. Lounge on first floor which was nice. Access to centre of town from rear door, about 30 seconds walk. Overall excellent, would certainly stay there again.

The main problem was the photo of the small patio which was deceptive.

It showed boundaries on three sides but was taken in such a way as to avoid indicating that it was not enclosed on the fourth side and was actually open with no privacy. As the property allows one pet this information is even more important. This would have been a game changer for us and we would not have rented this particular property had we known. We think that you have missed a trick by not having a picture of the attic seating/ reading area which was an unexpected bonus. Comfort is downgraded slightly because the pillows were very soft with one firm pillow alternative for four people and the duvets were adequate but getting lumpy with use.

Cottage is excellent for us in terms of size, facilities and location. We will return as we are regular visitors to Keswick.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Agatha cottage, spotlessly clean, lots of room.

It had a well equipped kitchen with everything you would need for a comfortable stay, beds were very comfy so we slept well every night. The cottage is in a perfect location and only 2 minutes walk to Keswick town centre, would definitely recommend this cottage especially to friends and family.

Our 4th visit to Agathi cottage and despite COVID regulations was still a very comfortable cottage with all the facilities we needed.

It was spotlessly clean and would recommend it highly to anyone. We are already looking forward to booking our next stay there.

Ideal very central location in Keswick, giving easy access to numerous shops and restaurants/pubs, whilst they could only provide outside drinking etc, when we visited, there's plenty.

5 min walk gets you to the lake or falls. The cottage was lovely and cosy, great to have a car parking space, it is well supplied with everything you need to stay self catering. A lovely stay !

What a beautiful little cottage, great location we could walk to lake in 10 minutes and the same to the park Booths supermarket a real gem and again 5 minutes walk away, very handy having car parking space in a busy beautiful town.

The warmth/comfort/cosiness of Agathi was a dream start to our wonderful break in the Lake District.

Keswick was lovely and welcoming in this very difficult year, and was a joy of a place to stay in. The lakes/mountains themselves need no introduction as it is they that are truly the stars of the show, allowing us to have a wonderful time both walking and mountain biking in varying weather conditions. There is no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing choice! We'd be back in a heartbeat.
