A lovely property, very clean and with everything you could need.

Liked the large super king sized beds in all the bedrooms and the extras left by the owners. Would definitely book again.

We were very impressed by both the cleanliness of the cottage and the kitchen equipment.

The owner left a plentiful supply of logs for the fire along with an invitation to contact him if we needed more. The wine, milk, jams teas and coffee etc provided were appreciated too. The cottage is in an excellent location for walking and the shops and variety of eating places in Keswick.

Absolutely amazing stay!

The house is a perfect location and has everything you need! So well equipped even for our four legged friends. Would definitely recommend it.

Great property and location.

Great to have so many bathroom options. Very comfortable. Host had left us an extensuve welcome pack. Easy ealk into Keswick with all its many pubs, restaurants, shops and Market. Managed to get parked by property all time but we wete out of season (October) . Fully recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Dovedale despite the bad weather.

The accommodation was above expectations. So clean a credit to the cleaners and extremely well equipped and comfortable. Very well positioned within walking distance and the centre of Keswick. I could not recommend Dovedale more highly and would certainly stay again.

The only disappointment is we are unable to book again next year - already taken, and no surprise.

This home is beautiful, well decorated and modern. well presented. We loved the little gifts and welcome - great touch. Not like most lets where there is always the bare minimum of cups, plates, cutlery. there is plenty of everything. Highly recommended

So much thought and attention to detail has gone into providing the highest standard of accommodation. The property is very clean, cosy and in a great location close to the centre of Keswick. The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds, the showers are superb with lots of towels, toilet rolls, toiletries provided and there’s a hairdryer in each bedroom. The welcoming package of milk, wine, tea, coffee and chocolate was appreciated too. Even treats for our Labrador and towels and throws provided. There is no garden but you are close to Fitz Park for dog walking. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Dovedale and look forward to returning.

Dovedale is beautiful, very well located, immaculately clean and one of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed.

Stunning views over Skiddaw were a wonderful bonus! The beds are very comfortable, it’s truly a home from home. Everything you could possibly wish for is provided for you. The little extra super thoughtful touches blew us away and were very much appreciated. We can’t recommend it more highly and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Very well appointed and looked after property, with lots of little extra touches such as biscuits and jams.

Parking was fine for us but can imagine it could be challenging during busy holidays. Cottage in a great location - will certainly be returning!

Dovedale is a gorgeous spacious house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break. The house is extremely comfortable and well equipped with lots of additional extras. The welcome wine and biscuits etc was appreciated along with the dog treats and towels. The wood burning stove was perfect for the colder evenings. Very well situated to walk into the centre of Keswick and also to head off for longer walks in the beautiful countryside.

This is one of the best properties we have stayed in , in Keswick.

We recently holidayed for 1 week and could not have wished for a better house for location, cleanliness, the facilities and the little extras , including for our fur babies. Towels and toilet rolls were plentiful which was great as normally you would get the bare minimum. Would highly recommend a stay in Dovedale. Dovedale is one of the nicest houses we have ever stayed in.

It had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. The beds were so nice and comfortable. The owners left some very thoughtful welcome gifts, milk, water, wine, some toiletries which were all much appreciated. Will definitely go there again.

There was plenty of space, it was comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. The location was very convenient for walking in to Keswick, and we had no problems parking close by.

We have stayed in numerous holiday houses and this is by far the best.

The level of cleanliness and comfort was 5* and we loved staying here. Les was extremely helpful and kindly bought a non slip mat for the dining room floor as our greyhound found it slippy. I think we have now been spoilt for future properties and we will certainly return to Dovedale. The photos don’t do it justice and it felt more like a self catering luxury hotel than a house. The location is perfect and in very quiet. Can’t wait to return!

The positives: lovely house, central location and plenty of room.

The negative: excessive lust of how the owners want the place cleaning before you leave! I have rented all over the world but never been expected to strip all the beds before I leave, clean the bathrooms etc. when you pay hundreds of £’s for a short stay I would expect a cleaner to do after I have gone.

A super comfy and beautifully appointed house in a great location in Keswick.

Perfect for our grown-up family of three adult couples, and not forgetting our dog who had a lovely stay too. The owners have thought of everything. Definitely recommended.

We throughly enjoyed our holiday in the Lake District.

We stayed in Dovedale a beautiful three story property in Keswick which was just a few minutes walk into the centre. Dovedale had everything it was beautifully furnished with every amenity from the lounge with wood burning stove, large TV and leather sofas. Walk through to the dining room with large dining table. The kitchen was a step down and beautifully appointed it looked brand new. Upstairs the bedrooms again had the high standard of furnishings and decor, all with wall mounted TV. Dovedale also had a Media Room on the top floor. There was everything for every generation I would highly recommend Dovedale.

Immaculately clean, huge comfortable beds. Kitchen well equipped good space to cook in. I honestly can't think of anything that we would have needed that wasn't there. If we stay in Keswick again we will return to this beautiful house.

WOW, what an absolutely stunning holiday home Dovedale is.

The house was extremely clean, well presented and finished to the highest possible standard. The owners have thought of everything plus more to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The welcome gifts we received on arrival were an added bonus. Dolly especially enjoyed her dog treats. The Town is only a 5-minute walk from the house. There are plenty of walks around the area which we all thoroughly enjoyed despite the showery weather. We will definitely be looking to return to Dovedale in the future.

The best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in by far!

Spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and had everything we could have possibly needed or wanted plus a lot more. The little extras were a lovely bonus. If staying as a group or with older children the attic tv room is a great addition. The short walk into the centre of town and all it’s amenities make this the perfect base for a holiday. Can’t recommend highly enough…..and we’ll definitely be returning. Well done to the owners…..you’ve got it spot on !!!

As soon as we walked in to dovedale cottage the smell was lovely and fresh.

The cottage was spotless. There was a welcome pack milk wine cakes . Great shower and bathrooms. Plenty of towels. The TV had Netflix and amazon when not going out.Felt very comfortable straight away.only 5mins walk into town. And great walks on your door step. I left some sandals there and the owner posted them to me which was very kind.

Brilliant place to stay as so convenient for everywhere in Keswick.

House was spotlessly clean, had more than enough of everything (crockery, glassware, loo rolls, towels, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets etc), plus treats for the dog! Comfy beds with snuggly duvets, log burners - all great for our stay. We have stayed in many properties and this is easily one of the best. We shall be booking this home again! Thanks to Les and Jan for making our stay a real holiday break.

The cottage is fabulous!

So stylish, modern and clean. We had a wonderful few days staying here and exploring The Lakes. The owners make it clear they are always contactable should you need them and they leave an array of little treats for the guests - even for the dogs! The only thing that we found as a negative is that I wouldn’t say this cottage is ideal for dogs as it has no enclosed garden or yard, so even early morning and late night wees have to be on a lead in the back lane after navigating many bins that are stored there - seeing as we had fabulous weather this was ok, but not ideal on rainy days. But, overall, we were so comfortable and happy to be staying here.

We were very pleased with the property, very clean and very well appointed.

As a side note; a bigger rack for boots and somewhere more substantial to hang wet outdoor clothing would have been very useful - a standard bath with a rail over would have been a better option than the roll top bath. In terms of items provided an indoor broom would have been handy for tiled floors. With this said we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and did appreciate the quality of this property.

Absolutely amazing house!

Home from home, we didn't want to leave! 5 minute walk into Keswick a bonus, so no taxis. We will 100% stay again and will absolutely recommend to friends and family.

A beautifully renovated property with lots of thoughtful extra touches which helped make the stay so enjoyable.

Fantastic house with great decoration and first class finish throughout, only little niggle was the step down into the kitchen at an angle which meant we couldn’t use the child gate to stop our granddaughter from tottering up and down the step with assistance, only a minor inconvenience in an otherwise superb house with a great location in Keswick, I would highly recommend this house.

Les and Jan’s property was a real home from home, everything you could ask for and more!

We had a great week in our cottage.

Everything was there that we needed. My only point is the lighting in the living room is either too bright with the downlighting and too dark with only one small lamp in the living room. Apart from that is was perfect

Accommodation was lovely , clean and comfortable.
