Lakeland View Lodge

Lovely little flat.

The ceilings are a little low (I'm 6' and had to duck under the doirway but could stand up straight in the rooms), and the floors uneven, but thats all part of its charm. Great location and easy walk into town. Good to have the parking space too.

Great base for Keswick and surrounding walks - we walked to both Latrigg and did the Walla Crag, Bleaberry and High Seat circular.

We also did a long Catbells circular (inc several other peaks) and the carpark for our route was a 10 minute drive. Only a short walk to central Keswick, and fantastic views of Latrigg/Skiddaw out the front. It has parking and is relatively easy to find although we did drive past the turning twice as the space is accessed from behind! The bathroom is nice and updated. The rest of the property could do with a similar refresh but not much of an issue as we used the property as our base. The only ‘issue’ we found was that the main double bedroom had a very strange smell when we arrived, which we’d get a waft of every so often throughout the stay. It wasn’t the carpet/bedsheets/curtains (we did try to figure it out so we could better report) and so we are still not sure what it was!

We stayed at this property for 2 nights whilst on a walking break in the surrounding areas.

The apartment was exactly as described, lovely and clean and in a central location to access the local town. The parking was great and there were lots of small touches within the apartment itself such as handwash, washing up liquid, tea towel, dish cloth. The booking process was simple and the instructions were clear. A really enjoyable stay, I would book this apartment again

Second time we went, property is well maintained, comfortable and clean Central to centre of town, parking space which is a bonus as it's expensive to park in town.

Well maintained and well equipped. I a good position with the bonus of private parking. Very comfortable double bed.

The cottage is one of the best we have stayed in, it was warm when we entered felt really homely.

We have stayed in a lot of cottages in Keswick and they are normally cold or not that clean but this one blows them out of the water. It’s a bit weird with the floors up and down bit that adds to the style. The car port is a bonus, we had the storm when we were here and the outside of the bathroom fan made a knocking noise a lot sometimes waking us up. Advise close bathroom door and bedroom door at night. One issue that does need sorting when it’s dark and you are going out or returning from the town as you have to enter from the rear the sensor lights don’t seem to work so it’s very dark till you get to the stairs. So people may feel unsafe with this. Apart from this it’s has everything you need. The shower is hot and lovely to stand under, all cooking appliances are there hob takes a little while to warm up. Views are amazing sitting down watching the low level clouds across the hills. The second bedroom didn’t even get used but was very warm and smelt amazing. Town is like 5 minutes away closer than most places. Would we recommend this place definitely. Thanks for lovely place to stay. Sarah, Michael, Bailey the dog

Lovely place to stay and ideally located Great views of the mountains either side of the apartment.

Clean, spacious and had everything we needed.

Our visit was on a cold day in November and on arrival the cottage was lovely and warm.

The cottage had the heating set every day about 4pm till approx 10 pm which was great. Shower was excellent every morning with plenty of room and hot water. Lounge was cosy and the little time we spent in there was good with working TV. We would return in warmer season because it is a lovely base for walks and strolls.

Lovely upstairs apartment, great outside seating area with views of the fells,private parking space and 2 minutes from Keswick Town centre.

Really good accommodation, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay in the lakes.

...... well situated, central, fab views from windows, flat was warm and comfortable. Enjoyed the little balcony, a suntrap. Bonus being the parking under cover..... we would, will, definitely be back. Ate out so no cooking but facilities looked adequate.

Was a super accommodation and comfortable bed.

The only thing I’d mention is in the bathroom the vent makes noises during the night that woke me up fairly often. Great location.

Great location near all shops and amenities in walking distance if you are able.

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the city centre.

Well-equipped kitchen, good walk-in shower with excellent water pressure. Only thing that was not so nice were very slanting floors that made it a bit unpleasant.

We've enjoyed our week at Lakeland View Lodge particularly as it is just across the road from Keswick Convention.

We would have booked for 2026 but sadly someone pipped us to the post. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The views from the windows of property were amazing & added to our holiday experience.

I struggled with the key box (arthritic hands)......a locally accessible person to assist in such situations would be helpful. Beds were comfortable, windows insulated us from any traffic sound & all that we needed was available with good range of utensils. When I went to use a pan it was dirty with crusted on food which had not been cleaned off. We got it all cleaned up & left shining. Overall we felt the place to be very well situated with up to date, tasteful, clean & fresh decor. So helpful to have our own parking space. We had a comfortable stay, much enjoyed thanks.

This was a really lovely 1st floor flat with great views both sides.

It was exceptionally good value for money, considering the location. The parking space was a real bonus, considering the closeness to Keswick town centre, and the supermarket was walking distance, as was the shopping area. The inside of the flat was nice, particularly the bathroom, and the outside balcony was a real sun-trap, with great views towards the Coledale Fells. I will definitely look forward to staying here again, as we had a lovely week.

Main bedroom could do with a curtain liner to dim the room early morning.

A proper height table on the patio would be nice. apart from that a nice property enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We have been using Lakeland View Lodge twice a year for the past 20 years or so.

Long before it was put in the hands of Sykes. We would highly recommend it. It is situated only a few minutes walk from the center of Keswick, so is handy for any activity. It has off-road, covered, parking.

An enjoyable stay.

Good parking, although rather a cluttered back yard area sharing access with several other flats and businesses. Easy access to town was a big bonus. Our only real issue was lack of information in the flat about basic things like the heating system and recycling. Recycling bin outside was overflowing with tins and bottles and no instructions on how recycling works in the area.
