“Location of the property is perfect , within 1 minute stroll of the town centre and all the shops, cafes and restaurants.”

With a parking space at the property makes it a great choice, if you have a hatchback or medium size car as the space is small and on an incline with a tree and its roots taking up space, accurately noted in the property description and gladly our car fit the requirements for the space available. The property is spacious and well equipped, the view from the attic bedroom is stunning and definitely worth the climb of the stairs! Not for people with any hip or joint issues, or younger children. Two other bedrooms are well proportioned and equipped, the double boasting a small en-suite shower room which was a good bonus travelling as a family! The kitchen in the basement is great and private and added charm to the property, the steps are steep and the ‘mind your head’ warnings are well placed as my husband found out on the first day! We had a great stay at Lillibet Cottage and enjoyed the proximity to the amenities and joy of Keswick especially on very wet rainy days.

Keswick is alive with shops, pubs, cafés, and the popular, twice-weekly, award-winning market.

The shores of Derwentwater are just a stroll away and there is a fantastic selection of walks to choose from including gentle walks along the lake shore, walks to popular Ashness Bridge and Surprise View or the nearby Castlerigg Stone Circle or those seeking out the high fells will head to the summit of Latrigg and Skiddaw that dominate the towns skyline and mountain bikers will enjoy the award-winning Altura Trails in Whinlatter Forest.

Lillibet Cottage has its lounge and dining room on the ground floor, traditional slate steps wind down to the kitchen on the lower ground floor.

With two bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, a family bathroom on the first floor and a third bedroom on the top floor, the property offers ample space for family or friends to relax and enjoy a great holiday whatever the time of year.

Accommodation in detail: Lillibet Cottage is located on a small side street close to the market square.

From the front porch, the ground floor offers a welcoming lounge with well-appointed leather sofas and armchairs, a Smart TV, and an electric fire.

A separate dining room, again with an electric fire, is the ideal place to gather for dinner in the evening.

Traditional slate steps wind down to the kitchen on the lower ground floor which includes fitted units, a range cooker with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, family breakfast table, warming living flame gas stove, washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the first floor, there are two of the three bedrooms, the first is a welcoming king-size double with TV and en-suite shower room with basin and WC, the second is a pretty single bedroom and also on the first floor is the family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC.

Steep steps lead to the top floor where, in the eaves of the cottage, is a spacious double bedroom with a sitting area and TV and the view from the Velux windows looks across the rooftops with views to Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite.

Outside there is private parking for two medium-sized cars.

Location: Keswick is one of the Lake District's most popular destinations.

This friendly town hosts the very popular twice-weekly market that has recently won the coveted "Best Outdoor Market" in the Great British Market Awards.
