Primrose Cottage

Primrose Cottage was perfect for our two girls-away weekend.

The cottage was easy to find, great for parking and access into the town centre and was well equipped. It was comfortable and warm and very quiet. Unfortunately we did have to wash a few pieces of cutlery and crockery before using and we couldn't find the external non recycled bin! Would definitely recommend and would definitely book again

We have stayed here a number of times,great off road parking for a large 4x4.

Secure garden for the dog. Good kitchen Location great for Keswick centre. Only problem we had was the fridge has a small leak at the bottom worked ok but needs looking at.

A lovely cosy cottage in a great position.

Our pooch was delighted that the park was a two minute stroll…he loves Fitz Park, as do we. Parking at the property, whilst a little tight for a big car (Volvo XC60) is a very welcome addition for a town centre property. A secure little garden is also very useful. We were there just after Christmas for New Year and the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas, thank you. It remained below freezing for the whole of our visit so the pretty little gas fire was very useful and warmed things up nicely to keep us cosy when we didn’t want to venture out. We regularly visit Keswick and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. If we don’t end up with two dogs, a possibility, we will definitely return.

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed, it’s all be thought out very well.

Great location and excellent private parking which is a must for us! I was concerned our car wouldn’t fit (BMW X7) but we managed fine! Comfy bed, nice pillows and bedding. Lots of storage in both bedrooms. Great little utility room with washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and also a small clothes drying area. Little garden was perfect for our dog. Only 1 minor observation was that the TV could have been bigger, but that really is minor :-) Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

This is a fabulous cottage in a perfect location in terms of proximity to beautiful and varied walks and town amenities.

The only piece of constructive feedback is that we felt the lack of a small welcome pack, even if just a pint of milk and a pack of biscuits, was disappointing, especially given that this felt like a premium property in all other ways.

Great cottage, well stocked and comfortable and an excellent location and with the bonus of being able to fit our 5m campervan in the parking space at the back!

We woukd definitely book again.

Garden needs attention but still secure for the dog. Been here numerous times.

Loved our stay at Primrose cottage, in a great position and having it's own parking place is great.

Beds are really comfortable too. When we saw the downstairs bathroom we were a bit concerned but there's a toilet upstairs too. Only criticism is the front room carpet had lots of black dog hair on it. I dropped something and picked hair up too then as the week progressed you could see clumps of it where it has gathered. It's been commented on before so maybe a better vacuum cleaner is needed Having said that we would love to stay again

The parking space is great, a hidden gem in Keswick.

Fantastic cottage in great position.

Only issue might be , if you have a long car e.g large 4 wheel drive, it would not fit in the parking spot. We only just fit our Skoda estate

The cottage was well equipped & had everything we needed during our stay. Bed comfortable, shower hot & powerful enough. Decor was lovely & homely. We would definitely recommend & come again.

Primrose Cottage is a very warm and comfortable base, every facility is top notch and practical. When the dog returns from a walk the slate tiled kitchen is a low risk environment before bath time!

The bathroom was difficult, and potentially dangerous, especially for older people like ourselves, as no grab rails were provided for getting into or out of the deep bath.

The stairs really need a complete, top to bottom, handrail, for safe use, as the existing one stops short of the top, again presenting a hazard.

Lovely cottage that we first stayed in 1997 !! It had everything we needed , clean , warm and comfortable . Parking was a great bonus even though we have a 4x4 which used our parking skills . Fantastic location just 5 minutes walk from Keswick town .

It had everything we needed and was in a perfect and quiet spot. We would definitely return next year.

A lovely cottage in a fantastic location - opposite the park and 5 mins from the centre.

The cottage was warm, deceptively spacious and nicely decorated (we liked the historic maps of Greta Street), and there's a lovely little paved garden. There was good storage and the property was well maintained. The only negative was the floors could have been a little cleaner: although vacuumed, the rugs and carpet still showed that dogs had stayed before! But overall it was a great place to stay and we'd love to return. Thank you for a lovely week in this beautiful town.

Well equipped comfortable cottage in a good location near the town for a winter visit.

The upstairs and bathroom was very cold.

Luckily we were able to use one of the duvets from the spare room to keep warm at night as the duvets were very thin. The shower temperature was scalding hot but unable to turn down. Some lamps in the living room would have been lovely. There were splashes of paint of the bathroom floor and some black mould on the tiles. Some small stains on the bedding when we arrived. Other than the cottage was in a great location and also the parking was fabulous

Great location and the car parking space is an added bonus. We are looking at booking again next year.

Beautifully appointed cottage, cosy and warm with everything we needed.

Easy access from the parallel street, secure garden for our dog, dedicated parking. Lounge window is close to the pavement with passers by peering in, in daylight hours. Great entertainment for the dog !! Hope to return again in the future to enjoy the town and local fell/lake delights. Close to all local amenities, buses, shops, restaurants and superb wine bar!

We have stayed in many different cottages in the Lakes over the past 35 years.

Primrose Cottage exceeded our expectations and is the most 'homely' we have stayed in. Difficult to find fault. Perfect stay really.
