“Perfect location!”

The owner was very helpful when resolving an issue we had with parking permit. Cottage was situated a minutes walk from edge of a lovely town with good pubs, eateries and shops. Less than ten minutes walk to the breathtaking Derwent water with magnificent walks and views, our dog loved it. Views were amazing!! The bed was extremely comfortable with a very good shower. We'd have no hesitation in returning to Style Cottage.

“We loved our time at Style Cottage.”

Perfectly located - close enough to town but in a lovely quiet lane, and only a few minutes walk from Derwentwater. The car parking permit is so handy and convenient. The cottage itself is lovely, well equipped and comfy. Our dog loved the enclosed garden but wasn't overjoyed with the handy dog-bath (although we were!) Hard to fault and Gill is so lovely and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!

“Style cottage has been beautifully renovated to a high standard.”

Very cosy and perfect for 2 and a dog. The parking permit allows choice of where to leave the car all car parks in easy walking distance. Lots of walks, pubs, shops and places to eat. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

“We had a lovely week in Style Cottage, centrally located but very quiet.”

The owners have taken great care and love in renovating the property, with tasteful and good quality furnishings etc. Very clean, very comfortable, lovely super king bed and a brilliant utility/boot room that leads into a small enclosed rear garden. We were able to leave the car all week and just walk from the door. Good eating places and cafes literally two minutes walk away. When we arrived the outside dustbin was overflowing and didn’t get emptied throughout our stay, maybe got overlooked.

“Wow what a little Gem , so impressed with the cottage we booked again for 2026.”

Every thing you needed was in the cottage from the welcome pack to the boot room with your own dog wash ( which we didn’t need as no rain at all ) The shower was amazing, the bed was so comfortable. Little shared back garden for those last night quick wee ( The dog )

The cottage has everything you need and is so stylish! The bed was so comfy. The location is great, right in the centre of Keswick so all amenities are on your doorstep. “We found Style cottage was everything we needed, comfortable throughout.”

Situated in an ideal location for the town of Keswick. Just one small issue, I had to move the crockery around in the cupboards to be able to put our food stuff away, otherwise everything was good for us to enjoy our holiday. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

“Style Cottage was perfect for us and our dog to explore the northern Lakes.”

The kitchen/living area was perfect and really cosy with a well equipped kitchen. The bedroom and bathroom were both really lovely and comfy with a great shower and bath. And the boot room with the dog wash was just incredible to leave all our wet gear to dry and to clean the dog after our walks. The parking permit that comes with the booking made parking for the week a doddle and the location was so convenient. Less than 1 minute walk into the centre of Keswick. We will definitely be coming back here.

“Cottage is beautiful but the standard of cleaning was not as expected.”

Hairs in the bath, marks in the toilet and the toilet brush and holder were disgusting. Chips left in the freezer. A very stingy amount of wood left for the 1st night. Nice mod cons and beautiful interior brick work. The facilities for your dog is amazing.

“We had a great holiday in our favourite place!”

Lovely cottage, very cosy and great location. One downfall, no cleaning products provided at all other than some washing up liquid. We had to go out and buy cleaning products for the kitchen and bathroom, these have always been provided in all the other cottages we have stayed in. There was a welcome pack - nice wine - thank you - however the milk was all out of date. Great cottage, great location just a shame let down by a few issues that could simply be avoided. One thing that the cottage would benefit from is a hairdryer! Would definitely stay again!

“A beautiful cosy cottage very close to all amenities and very well decorated and very comfortable.”

The dog bath and boot room were a godsend when we were there as it was very wet. The only thing that disappointed us was the lack of cleaning products in the kitchen. So for our very short stay we had to buy washing up liquid, cleaning spray, toilet roll etc. This surprised us as we have never had to do this in any rental. But apart from that it was perfect. “Lovely cottage, a stones throw from the centre but also on a quiet road with little noise.”

The cottage itself if well equipped and the dog bath downstairs was great! The bed was unbelievably comfortable which was a blessing for sore muscles! A tumble dryer would be great as we had to use the radiators for drying even though it was mildish outside but this isn’t a major issue. Overall a lovely cottage perfect for a couple and our 2 Dachshunds loved it also. We’re going to visit again!

Thank you for providing a review but I’m sorry to lose my 5* rating. Due to the central location of the cottage there is no parking at the cottage. I do pay for an annual parking permit in the Central and Lakside car parks 5-10 minutes walk away to allow guests to park free of charge which is normally £12.20 for 24 hours. Once parked all facilities are within a few minutes walk from the cottage. Overall I’m pleased you found the cottage cosy and would recommend a stay at Style Cottage. “We had a wonderful time at your beautiful cottage.”

Its was so warm and comfortable. Excellently located close to Keswick centre with easy parking. We will definitely look to come back again. One slight mix up/issue. On the day of leaving the cleaners arrived at 10am however the email details we had from Sykes said to leave by 11am. We were nearly all packed and then we were about to give the place a clean ourselves, but couldn't. There seems to be a miscommunication somewhere if the emails from Sykes are saying to leave at 11am but cleaner's are arriving at 10am.

What a wonderful cottage it is and such a great week we had. The cottage had everything we needed and was so cosy. I absolutely loved the decor, so beautifully presented and the stone wall from top to bottom was so rustic and perfectly suited to the cottage. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with a great shower and bath. The muddy paws and boots room was a brilliant idea, particularly the huge metal dog shower unit. We could properly clean our dogs before entering the main house. The garden was also lovely and great for the dogs. I can't praise this beautiful home from home enough and we will most definitely be booking again

KESWICK

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 16.6 miles; Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
