Benefiting from lake views from almost every room, Low Longthwaite Farm offers four comfortable bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, a welcoming lounge, a large dining room, farmhouse kitchen and an enclosed garden. Accommodation in detail The approach to Low Longthwaite Farm is along a private driveway. As you approach the front door the breath-taking view across the fields to Ullswater and the high fells beyond is revealed. The front door opens to a bright and spacious lounge with comfortable sofas arranged around the cosy log burning stove and TV. The pretty window seat is a favourite place to relax with a good book and to look out across the valley. The dining room features a large oak dining table, ideal for all the family or dinner with friends. The large, well equipped kitchen, which also enjoys a view of the lake, offers a family breakfast table and is equipped with an electric cooker with hob and double oven, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher and from here a side door opens to the garden. To the rear of the farmhouse there is a welcoming snug with a comfortable sofa making it just the place to retreat to with a coffee and the weekend papers. The boot and utility room offers plenty of space for boots and outdoor gear and this is complemented by a ground floor shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. The stairs lead to the first floor landing and links four well-appointed and welcoming bedrooms. There is a choice of two king size bedrooms, both with a lake view and one with ensuite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC, and two lovely twin bedded rooms. About the location

Pooley Bridge 2.5 miles; Glenridding 6.2 miles; Penrith 8.5 miles.

The elevated scattered village of Watermillock runs parallel to the main road alongside Ullswater Lake and is mainly a farming community. Just 2.5 miles away is Pooley Bridge with its array of amenities which sits on the northern shore of the lake in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley originated due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed. Glenridding (meaning glen overgrown with bracken) is a small tourist village with a range of local shops, cafes and restaurants. There are numerous walks with breathtaking views nearby, plus a short walk up to Dunmallard Hill reveals fascinating Iron-Age remains, whilst the towns of Penrith and Keswick are within driving distance. Watermillock is an ideal base for a cottage holiday stay in the stunning Lake District.
