Perched on the outskirts of the peaceful hamlet of Mosedale, near the village of Mungrisdale, rests this traditional farmhouse, Two Town End.

This delightful cottage offers a quiet escape to the picturesque countryside and is ideal for families and friends looking to explore The Lake District. You're greeted by two off-road parking spaces upon arrival to the property, making it easy to park up and enjoy a day exploring the area on foot.

Kick off your hiking boots and enter the cottage where you're welcomed into the beautifully-appointed sitting room, boasting traditional character, with exposed wooden beams decorating the ceiling above, as well as a rustic woodburning stove and mantel piece made from reclaimed wood, offering a snug and homely setting to gather with your loved ones in the evening. Continuing through the property you enter the open-plan kitchen/diner, featuring an aspect window framing beautiful views out to the surrounding fells, and a large wooden table with seating for six so that the group can join together and enjoy some quality time over a hearty meal prepared on the rustic range cooker in the farmhouse style kitchen.

The property benefits from an enclosed patio area to the front as well as a lawned area resting at the rear, both featuring outdoor seating and offering a quiet retreat in a peaceful setting where you can enjoy a glass of wine and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside as your four legged friend stretches their legs.

Heading back indoors, climb the stairs and prepare for bed in the family bathroom, where you can decide between a soak in the tub or steaming away the day in the spacious walk-in shower.

You're spoilt for choice when it comes to resting your head, as the first floor boasts three delightfully decorated bedrooms, all featuring ample storage space to house your belongings and comfortable beds to snuggle up in.

Choose between the spacious king-size master bedroom, uniquely decorated with traditional arrow slits and exposed wooden rafters, and benefitting from it's own en-suite shower room, a second king-size bedroom, offering a zip/link feature for flexible sleeping arrangements, or the twin bedroom.

Explore your surroundings and head out on foot to the stone built hamlet of Mosedale, an ideal base for avid walkers, where you can enjoy a ramble around Bowscale Tarn, set in a beautifully remote location for a peaceful escape, or hike to the summit of Carrok Fell or the nearby Skiddaw, the sixth-highest mountain in England, both boasting fantastic views across the scenic countryside of the Lake District.

If you're lucky enough to visit in the Summer months, the Mosedale Quaker Meetinghouse opens up as a coffee shop, selling homemade soups teas & cakes for a local charity.

After a busy day exploring, head to the nearby village of Mungrisdale for a refreshing pint of real ale at The Mill Inn, a traditional inn.

Jump in the car and travel to the market town of Keswick, where you can hire a boat or kayak and float along Derwent Water, exploring the many islands that the lake homes.

Adventurers can head to Keswick Extreme and experience thrilling outdoor activities such as Ghyll Scrambling and Lazy Tubing down river with a tube and paddle.

If that's not your thing, don't worry, Keswick boasts an array of attractions to suit everyone, including watching a show at the Theatre By The Lake, exploring the history of pencil manufacturing at Derwent Pencil Museum as well as offering a delightful setting to enjoy a stroll around Upper Fitz Park.

After working up an appetite, you can stop for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink at one of the many pubs, bars and restaurants in Keswick, Brysons bakery/cafe and a market on a Thursday and Saturday.
