What guests are saying
Marina View is a beautiful house with a wow factor from the start.
Well presented, spacious, clean and very well prepared for guests staying. 15 minute walk to get to Bowness was perfect. Only tricky bit was pulling out of the drive for longer trips as the mirror provided doesn’t quite show everything with a couple of close calls when edging out. Could do with moving the mirror out a little more.
Property was excellent, well situated for all amenities, quiet spot, lovely gardens, clean and very comfortable.
The only issues (and there were very minor but I have been asked to give feedback) lockbox was very difficult to open and we actually couldn’t open it on leaving the property and had to contact Sykes regarding where to leave keys. There were a few light out, utility room and en-suite, the bins had not been emptied from previous guests so were already full however there was no instructions on what to do with the bins or where to position on collection day so this could have explained the bins being full. There is only one TV in the main living area, this wasn’t a problem for us but families might prefer a TV in one of the bedrooms. Lastly the back garden is not fully secure for dogs as there are no gates fitted on either side. Curious dogs or indeed children can make their way to front of house easily. I do want to stress that these were VERY minor issues and in no way impacted our say. I would definitely recommend this lovely home.
We were a group of 8 family members, all adults.
We had a bit of difficulty locating the property at first but used the google location of the accommodation across the road for guidance. Might need better driveway sign for winter. Once settled in we found the property to be very well stocked with kitchen utensils and space. Wasn't sure before we went if there was a dishwasher but there was. We visited on a very busy weekend and parking took a while in Bowness, the walk to Bowness takes about 20 minutes and we really liked the town. The furniture is very comfortable but the couches were a bit of a squash for 8 adults. Bedrooms very comfortable and spacious. Overall we had a great time and would stay there again.
