“This place is very beautiful and a lovely location I would definitely recommend but I have a small suggestion to landlord about heating time.”

I think u set up the opening time only for couple of hours which was not enough we were really uncomfortable with a year old baby. It was freezing cold. So please increase some time of heating so it wouldn’t effect to other guest.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback with us further to your stay with us at Underheron. We were sorry to have read the feedback that you were cold throughout your stay. It seems that a previous guest might have been too warm and turned the radiators off/down and switched off the under floor heating. Had we been made aware of this during your stay, our maintenance team would have attended to advise you on how to work the thermostats to ensure you were warm enough. The owner also provides logs for the woodburner. We are sorry that this was your experience at Underheron. We do hope you enjoyed your stay regardless of this. Kind Regards, Lakelovers Owner Relations Team. Property Owner

The property is newly completed and has light and airy accommodation throughout. Set in a seclude area of Grasmere, Underheron has parking for 2 – 3 cars outside.

Entering through the front entrance you will find space in the hallway for muddy boots and walking gear.

This then leads into the large, light and open modern kitchen with its high quality appliances and glass ceiling and seating for 4, this makes the perfect social place to share breakfast.

Continue through and you will enter the very spacious and beautifully designed living room and integrated sun room with its bright aspect, dining table to seat 8 and long floor length windows throughout.

Badger, Deer and red squirrels are regularly spotted, so keep a look out! Location Grasmere is a historic village at the very heart of the Lakes, west of Ambleside and north of Coniston and Hawkshead.

The village centre has a number of useful shops, market, tea rooms and a select few very good restaurants - including the Good Food Guide listed Jumble Room. Although hugely popular with tourists and walkers, Grasmere remains a relaxed village location with a real air of history.

In the village you can explore the legacy of artists who've been inspired by the landscapes around the village - of particular note is the Heaton Cooper Studio.

The famous poet William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere while writing some of his most famous poetry.

His former home can be visited at Dove Cottage & the Wordsworth Museum, and his family grave is one of the most visited literary shrines in the world. A holiday cottage in Grasmere provides easy access to no end of fabulous Lake District walks.

Try the route up to Easedale Tarn in the fells above the village, visit the shores of nearby Rydal Water, or take on Fairfield, Silver How or Loughrigg to name but a few!
