The property

Molly's Cottage nestles in a quiet courtyard right in the centre of Grasmere village and will prove very popular with those who wish to enjoy all the village facilities whilst staying right in the heart of the Lake District.

This newly renovated, double fronted cottage will make an ideal setting for a holiday in any season. Walks from the door for all ages and abilities include the high tops of the Fairfield Ridge and a longer day to the summit of Helvellyn, whilst those seeking easier rambles will enjoy the trail to Far Easedale, a scramble up The Lion and The Lamb, or the much loved Rydal Round. With ample local shops for your daily needs and various places to eat in the village you really have no need to use the car on a daily basis.

There are boats to be hired on the lake in season - a picnic on the island makes a lovely gentle adventure - and of course Wordsworth's home at Dove Cottage is a 'must' on your list of things to do.

Grasmere is beautiful in any season and makes an ideal base from which to explore the whole of the Lake District National Park. Accommodation: Two steps at the front door lead into the entrance hallway.

The spacious sitting/dining room has two full-height windows looking into the courtyard.

The room divides nicely into a comfy seating area with two sofas and armchair (Smart TV) and the dining area that will surely be the focus of many relaxed family meals.

A newly fitted kitchen leads through to the separate laundry/utility room with heated floor and ample drying space for all your gear (wc). Upstairs are three very good bedrooms - the master has a super king-size bed, the second double has a king-size bed and the third bedroom is a good sized single.

Family bathroom (double-sized shower, basin and wc).

The bedrooms have views over the neighbouring rooftops to the fells. The property has a quiet air of comfort, newly decorated throughout with carefully chosen fabrics in toning colours, fitted carpets upstairs and hardwood flooring in the sitting room. Outside: Parking for two cars in the courtyard outside the property.

Short level stroll to shops, cafes, pub and local amenities.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

GRASMERE

Ambleside 5 miles; Windermere 9 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family has been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century, and Grasmere Lake. Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere, and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.

Please Note: There is a £200 Good House Keeping Bond applicable upon booking
