The A591 connects Ambleside village with Grasmere and Keswick to the north, Windermere and Bowness to the south, and journeys west to the delights of Hawkshead and Coniston are just as easy.Walks abound in the area, and Ambleside is a great place to start with excellent outdoor equipment shops offering advice and inspiration.
