What guests are saying
Lovely cottage in the middle of Ambleside great for a short stay.
Cottage was very clean, comfy beds and a well appointed kitchen. The welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch. Decor was lovely throughout and looked fairly recently done We had 2 well behaved pooches with us. Its worth noting that the terrace space is up a floor from the kitchen via a very old stone spiral staircase.....ok for us and loved the quirkiness but could be difficult if youre not as mobile. Terrace wasn't secure so dogs had to be watched or on leads. Didn't cause us too much of an issue though and would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at this lovely cottage was full of warmth, character and good energy.
The welcome gifts were a lovely touch on our arrival. Communication was A* with the property owner with questions promptly answered. It was an ideal base for us as a family so that we could explore Ambleside and Windermere, whilst also offering us a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return next year.
Any problems that occurred in the property were very quickly fixed (all were pretty minor too).
Lovely property with loads of charm. Garden not enclosed so we couldn’t let the dog out by herself (we didn’t check this closely enough before booking). Nearby pubs are great and not noisy, although the bin lorrys servicing the pubs made a fair bit of noise on a couple of mornings. Overall a pleasant stay.
