“Bishop Fell what a beautiful luxury holiday home, a fabulous find in a fabulous location a true gem.”

Jane and Angus the owners what a lovely couple, they have thought of everything you could ask for. The full house was immaculately clean and had everything you needed to have a wonderful stay. The interior design in the house was lovely and well thought out. A beautiful garden with lovely seating zones to enjoy the scenery and even a fir pit what more could you ask for. There is so much to see and do in the area. What a lovely relaxing holiday we had and didn't want to leave. So looking forward ...

About the location

NEWBY BRIDGE

Bowness-on-Windermere 8 miles.

The small village of Newby Bridge takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Bowness-on-Windermere provides a lovely day out, plus the picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter, and admire the views at nearby Gummer's How.

Note: Check in time 4.30pm.
Note: Whilst the owner supplies a generous amount of wood for the wood-burner, it is not unlimited.
Note: No stag or hen parties.
Note: Between 1st April and 30th September, this property is only able to accept week long bookings beginning and ending on a Friday.
