The location of this large premises is great, having its own access to the lakes outweighs any small negative points in the house.

Having plenty of social space makes it very relaxing for everyone to spread out, have a quiet space or together for dinner. The smell of moth repellent is not pleasant in all wardrobes and left my clothes in my case. There's lots of spiders which I'd prefer removed.

Lovely house for large families or two families holidaying together, giving plenty of space for everyone alongside a well equipped kitchen, ideal for self-catering.

Super location overlooking the lake and with private lake access a real bonus.

Very nice location But

From first stepping into the large and welcoming hallway, this property oozes warmth and charm and we felt at home straight away.

Each room is full of character and the space it provides is unusual for holiday accommodation. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. With access to the patio and spectacular views towards Ullswater it really added to a sense of relaxation and calm. In the evenings the cozy log burner in the living room was a gathering point to enjoy a family game, watch tv or enjoy a glass of wine. Some of our group of 5 have mobility issues so being on one level meant they could access bedrooms easily and everyone enjoyed having their own en-suite facilities. The surrounding area is breathtaking and the house is just a few hundred yards to the nearest pub! What could be better. We all agreed we would come back as soon as possible.

As a family of kayakers who also enjoy a hill walk, Low House is perfect for our needs in both location and facilities.

Fabulous property, position , views and space for all the family .

Decorated beautifully for Christmas . Loads of parking a real bonus for the Lake District and lovely walk down to the lake front . Only slight disadvantage is having two en suite rooms with hand held showers over the bath which are not easy to manage but didn’t spoil the holiday . Great sized kitchen with plenty of equipment , oven , fridge and freezer space for a big crowd . We would love to stay here again .

I had used the property once before as part of a hillwalking group earlier in the year so I had high expectations for my families first visit.

They were not disappointed as they all loved every aspect of the property with my grandsons particularly delighted with the games room. Small problem with one of the toilets was very quickly resolved by contacting housekeeping. Overall this is a great base for which to explore and enjoy the Lakes.

Very comfortable - warm, well-equipped, spacious and lovely views.

We particularly appreciated the boiler drying room. Nice to have all en-suite bathrooms but the configuration (1 double with bath, 3 twin with 2 shower, 1 bath) is slightly less than ideal.

This is our 7th visit and, as usual, we loved the property.

Two minor issues: the cleanliness was not up to par - dusty skirting boards, etc. Also in the large room, the fitted sheet wasn't right for the double bed and every day it came loose and had to be refitted. Other that that, a great holiday, and we appreciated the bottle of wine.

As a group of 4 couples we all enjoyed our stay.

It ticked all our boxes - parking for 4 cars, all bedrooms with ensuite, a large kitchen and fridge/freezer, seating outside with a fantastic view and rooms all on ground floor. It was in a quiet spot but near to pub and shops at Pooley bridge. In our group we had people who wanted to walk and there were plenty of walks nearby.We also had people who wanted to read and relax and soak up the beautiful view. All in all a super place. Low House was a brilliant find, I couldn't find a single fault if I tried!

The location at Ullswater was stunning and quiet, the house was much more spacious than the pictures appear, and it was unbelievably well equipped. It has everything you need for a great stay in the Lakes and we are definitely looking to book again in the future.

It is a fantastic property which is really comfortable with loads of space, comfy beds and a very well equipped large kitchen. There were clear instructions for everything too. The views and lake access were an added bonus especially as we had unexpected sunny weather.

This is a beautiful property in an ideal location for a walking holiday and relaxing in lovely surroundings.

The arrangement of rooms (three twins) is ideal for a mixed group and although we were there in mid-February, it was cosy and comfortable. We will come again!

A great place for all ages.

The grandchildren enjoyed the garden and the beach as well as the bar football and table tennis. Low House is very well-equipped with plenty of space, an outside patio with a beautiful view of the lake and the hills behind, and an enclosed garden. There are many lovely local walks to suit all ages. The children's favourite day was a trip to Aira Force (the open top bus ride was an additional plus factor). We love it!

Beautiful property but only slight negative is that when driving out of the property it is on a blind bend and dangerous, we noticed lots of properties have mirrors opposite and this would be a real benefit if restrictions permit as there will be an accident at some point if any bike or car comes round the bend at speed

We had a great holiday here, a lovely big house, plenty of space for children to enjoy.

Having an access path to the lake and beautiful lake views were a big plus which we particularly enjoyed. The kitchen was really well equipped, it had everything we needed.

Low House is the best holiday property we have ever stayed in: comfortable, warm, well- equipped, beautiful location.

As well as the four ensuite bedrooms, large kitchen and comfortable sitting room there is a drying room, a games room, table tennis in the outside barn, a patio with great views and its own private beach (plus a bus stop outside). There are plenty of lovely walks nearby, ranging from lakeside strolls to high peaks.Just perfect!

Absolutely amazing property.

Have stayed in holiday cottages and lodges in the lake district every year for over 40 years and this has to be one of the nicest if not THE nicest. Visited with my elderly parents who are in their late 80s and very few properties mobility friendly so this was an absolute find. Will certainly be back but in the summer next time with a bit of luck !

One of the best equipped holiday lets we've ever had the pleasure to stay in.

Everything you could need is here and plenty more besides. Comfy beds, great kitchen, wonderful views. We've been at least six times and will come again in the future.

This is our second visit to this lovely property!

It has a beautifully quiet location, with stunning views over the lake & the mountains! We find the property is very well suited for our multi-generational family. Being a bungalow, it is ideal for people with less mobility. There’s 4 bedrooms in all (3 lovely twin rooms and a very large master bedroom), all ensuite, 2 with baths and 2 with showers (one of the shower rooms has a small lip to step over, almost walk in type). There’s a massive lounge room with a log fire & a formal dinning area. The kitchen is spacious with a large dining table (+ high chair) and is VERY well equipped .., it’s has every cooking implement you can think of! The kitchen also has patio doors not only give you amazing views of the lake and mountains but also conveniently lead out to an outdoor eating area. The property is very clean throughout and has everything you may need; the furniture, appliances and fixtures are all excellent quality. It has plenty space for kids to play indoors, in the playroom or outdoors in the large garden. At the rear of the property there’s a large shed with full sized table tennis, darts board with space to store bikes and other sports equipment. There’s even an outside hose to make clean off easy and drying /boiler room to dry any damp coats /boots in main building. The setting couldn't be more beautiful and quiet. It’s only a short walk (5-10mins) to get direct access to the beautiful lake (vehicle access too) and there’s plenty parking space on the grounds for any vehicles. All in all, a fabulous, clean, well appointed, rurally located, lovely spacious property. Would love to spend a week there in the summertime but our winter stay was just lovely too. Hope to return again.

What a fabulous week in beautiful Low House!

The cottage is in a stunning location with amazing views of, and access to, lake Ullswater . Our multi generational family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day. We stayed in winter so enjoyed blustery walks or cosy lazy days, family meals around the big dinning table and evenings relaxing by the log burning fire, playing games with the kids. Perfect! This is a wonderfully positioned, very well equipped, very clean and comfortable cottage. It is a large property, all on one level with a lovely big kitchen, spacious living area, both with amazing views of the lake. The 4 bedrooms (1 kings size master and 3 twin rooms) are very comfortable and are all en-suite. There is EVERYTHING you will ever need in the property. The kitchen is so well equipped and has the bonus of having an aga to keep it cosy and warm. You also have the use of: a utility room with washer dryer iron etc, a handy airing cupboard to dry/warm coats/ dry washing, a playroom with games/ football table, reliable WiFi, and a large shed /log store with ample storage for bikes, with darts board & table tennis too! Everything is quality here; appliances, kitchenware and beds /bedding etc. *FRIENDLY LOCAL ROBIN WARNING: Don’t leave the patio door open more than a few inches on winter mornings unless you want a tame local robin to come inside to say hello and look for crumbs on the kitchen floor! Don’t worry if he does get in, he seems to comfortably know his way out! As bird lovers the robin’s daily visits topped off a lovely week, in a spacious & fabulously equipped property, in a stunning location… beautifully! Thank you Low House owners and workers. *Accessibility: I would recommend this property for people with mild to moderate mobility issues as internally it is all on one level. The doorways are wide and the living areas are spacious. There are showers in the 2 of the 3 twin rooms but not wet room type. The master bedroom and bathroom are very spacious but has a bath only. The property is probably not ideal for people who only use a wheelchair as no wet rooms or fully accessible showers. The entrance into the property is gravelled (but it is level) and there are a couple of steps into the property but they are wide & shallow. This is a wonderful house all on one level which would be great for anyone who struggles with stairs, uses a walker or wheelchair chair occasionally.

Home from home stay, fully equipped to a high standard, comfortable and with beautiful views.

We particularly enjoyed sitting by Ullswater and enjoying all around us.

Low House had everything you could wish for.

The locations was perfect and house very clean. The kitchen was equipped to a very high standard. Children loved the games room and private jetty for picnics. Photos on the website do not do it justice. Would certainly book again
