This elegantly styled accommodation comes with two bedrooms, comprising a king-size double and a twin bedroom, each wonderfully presented for a family of four.
On the ground floor is an open-plan living room housing all the necessities for a week-long break with your loved ones.
The designated chef of the group will be delighted with the stylish kitchen area that awaits them, making a perfect space to prepare a home-cooked meal before gathering the group around the formal dining table to tuck in and plan the days ahead.
As the evening grows darker, lounge on the plush sofas which rest in front of the Smart TV and take in the endearing views of the garden.

We received a warm welcome from Julie and were very grateful for the delicious home baked treats and prosecco after a long drive.
We loved our stay at Coney Garth Cottage which was comfortable, clean and equipped with everything you needed. Beckermet is a lovely village and was the ideal location for exploring the quieter western side of the Lake District. We spent our week visiting Wastwater Lake, Ennerdale Waters, St Bees, Seascale, Whitehaven, Muncaster Castle and taking the steam train from Ravenglass to Dalegarth. The village pub, The White Mare, is also well worth a visit. A thoroughly enjoyable week.

Coney Garth Cottage is beautiful.
The spacious living and kitchen areas are tastefully and comfortably furnished, and the whole cottage is clean, attractive and uncluttered. It is thoughtfully provided for with all necessary kitchen equipment, comfortable bedding, up-to-date t.v. and a ground floor shower/washroom in addition to the bathroom upstairs. There are so many places to visit nearby, including the local churches with their fascinating medieval grave-coverings. Our host, Julie, is local and knowledgeable about the area, providing good advice and tips on where to visit. She recommended an amazing drive to Wastwater (the deepest of the lakes) which Is near the tiny church of St Olaf and the foot of Scafell Pike. St Bee's Priory (on the coast) is also worth a visit. Julie and Geoff are great hosts - always around but never intrusive. We loved Coney Garth and hope to return one day.

Fantastic accommodation, and a lovely host, Julie.
The decor is to a very high spec and they have thought of everything. The kitchen is well equipped to cook a good quality meal (if you are capable) and there are plenty of dishes to have friends around. The Dolce Gusto coffee maker suited us as we have one at home. There are two showers, with one of them over a bath. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole cottage was warm enough for the time of year. We especially liked the hot tub and Julie maintains the health safety of it. We would totally recommend it - OH would have been happy to live in it, it’s that good.

Beautiful cottage. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. The only thing I can think of is to add a TV to the second bedroom if you have children with you they want a TV in their bedroom. Everything you need is already there. Beautiful garden as well and village xxx

Our host Julie was very welcoming and accomodating. The cottage was spotless and homely. The hot tub and patio was a wonderful addition. Beckermet is a beautiful little village with alot of character and compliments the cottage perfectly.

Such a beautiful, pristine cottage in a great location.
My friends and I enjoyed some lovely local walks to the beach and also spent a day canoeing on Wastwater lake. We were so impressed with how friendly and helpful the hosts were both before and during our stay. The complimentary prosecco and home baked treats also made it extra special. Thank you!

Accommodation was as stated and better than expected with all the things you could ever need for a weeks stay.
Very well maintained and clean. Julie was on hand to show us around and brought us some Scones and Cake on arrival. told us what was near bye and where to visit, The saw mill was worth a visit for the food. Nice and quiet with good food at local Pub in village.

This is a fantastic place to stay.
Our lovely host Julie gave us some lovely gifts on arrival and halfway through our stay. It’s always a treat to have a hot tub. Would recommend the steak pie from the “white mare” pub in the village.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location for the Western Lake District Fells as well as the seaside and other attractions of the Western Cumbria coast.
We had a wonderful week walking in the fells and were so grateful for the comfort of Coneyside Farm Cottage in the evenings. The facilities were excellent and the cottage was spotlessly clean. The owners were lovely and very helpful and we especially appreciated Julie's home baking! Will definitely go back.

The Cottage was fabulous plus the hot tub was amazing all very very clean.
Julie the owner was friendly and generous attentive without being intrusive. Location was great we would definitely go back to Coney Garth Cottage very relaxing and comfortable plus parking was really easy and off the road.

We had a fabulous stay in this wonderful cottage.
We chose it after reading all the wonderful reviews and were not disappointed! It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, and the coffee machine was a real bonus for us. The hot tub was great to relax in, and our teenage girls made great use of it! But what really makes this cottage exceptional, and stand out from others we have stayed in is the lovely owner Julie - she couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable, from the lovely treats of Fizz and homemade scones, to the recommendations of places to visit and eat. She greeted us with a warm welcome and was on hand during the week to ensure we had a lovely time. Thank you Julie, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending this cottage and would love to visit again.

On arrival to the property, we were greeted with a tray of cream scones from the lovely owner, Julie.
The spacious and clean living diner area was beautiful. It was very well equipped with all the useful utensils and lots of treats to help complement our stay. ( Thankyou) The upstairs was once again decorated to a high standard with beautiful views from each skylight. The hot tub was a bonus and helped us relax in the quietness of the lovely Beckermet village. Out of the many cottages we have stayed in this, by far, is top of our list to make a return too. The personal touches, the high standard of decoration and the lovely welcome, what's not to love. Thankyou Julie. We will be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in our cottage.
Julie contacted us in advance of our arrival to check as to when we could be expected and was around to meet us when we arrived. The cottage was modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The coffee maker and supplies to use it came in handy. Washing capsules and dishwasher capsules were provided too. We also liked the lovely surprise when Julie had been baking and handed in some for us to enjoy. The hot tub was good too. We would recommend 100%.

Furnished to a very high standard, clean and modern.
Underfloor heating very nice, ability to control heating levels upstairs useful. Downstairs separate shower was a must for us (we dismissed any properties without one) as we can no longer negotiate climbing over a bath. Parking for 2 cars an added bonus. Pub with good food within walking distance a real treat. Thank you for a great week, even if we didn't see the sun once!,

Really lovely holiday accommodation.
The attention to detail is fantastic even down to providing gowns useful for the lovely hot tub. Prosecco provided was very welcome. Everywhere is spotless . Beds very comfortable. Julie is a great host and recommended some local areas to visit. Only thing I’d like to change is for one of the cottages to be available to bring a dog but I understand why some would not want this.

We had a lovely week in Beckermet , the cottage was everything we expected and more .
Very clean , comfortable and spacious . Julie was a fabulous host and provided tasty treats and a bottle of fizz . We would highly recommend this accommodation to anybody thinking of staying there .

The cottage is in a lovely location, very quiet and close to some great areas for exploring.
Beautifully clean and tidy but well furnished with a few little extras. Our girls particularly loved the hot tub. The host is amazing and couldn’t be any more accommodating. We have been before and would definitely come back.

Would highly recommend this property, it is very well equipped with everything you could need and of good quality.
Very small issue of no mirror in the downstairs bathroom but I had my own so it wasn't a problem for us, having the hot tub is the icing on the cake. You have easy access to both the lakes and the coast so best of both worlds, and plenty of attractions too.

Coney Garth Cottage is a well equipped, tastefully furnished cottage in a great location to tackle the Western fells and local tourist attractions.
It is comfortable and bright with the added bonus of a hot tub. The owners, Geoff and Julie, are readily available should you need them and are keen to ensure your stay is enjoyable and your every need catered for. I would highly recommend a stay at this cottage, which is reasonably priced. We are going back in October, that just about says it all.

Located on the edge of the village, the property is within walking distance of the village pub, which serves good beer and great food, the cottage is clean and tidy with all the amenities that you need, the hot tub is a welcome bonus.
We walked along the coast to St Bees which was nice. The hosts were really nice and even brought us freshly baked scones and tried to help as much as possible when the electric started to go off due to storm Debi.

Coney Garth Cottage was absolutely perfect for our family of four.

Wow, this cottage was just beautiful, the quality of everything was totally 1st class.
The whole place was immaculate and it had everything you could possibly need . There are no shops in the village so make sure you take supplies though Julie had very kindly provided wine and cookies, also homemade cake and scones mid week which were delicious. I can not recommend this cottage enough and we will definitely be back . Thank you Julie x

We had a wonderful week staying at Coney Garth Cottage.
After a long journey Julie greeted us on arrival with a bottle of fizz, ice cold water and gave us good information on the area and places to visit. The cottage has everything you need and has been well thought out. It’s spacious, modern and the hot tub is a delight after a busy day sight seeing. The outside seating area is peaceful and quiet. Lovely to sit and read or to have your morning coffee. There’s plenty to do and see and the beaches are stunning. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Julie you are the perfect host. From the moment we arrived we knew we had picked the right place, Julie greeted us when we arrived very friendly, left us prosecco, biscuits and cake which was amazing.
The cottage was stunning, very clean and spacious and just like advertised, plenty of things to do around it, on the Wednesday Julie came round with freshly made scones ,jam and cream and also cake which was a lovely surprise. Very helpful and happy to give us suggestions on best place to visit. We didn't want to leave we were totally relaxed the whole holiday. Comfortable home from home.
Well equipped cottage with a great hot tub and outside seating area. Providing Prosecco and biscuits to welcome us and a cream tea on the last day were really nice touches. Julie was very friendly and helpful which made the whole experience feel special.

This is a beautiful charming cottage and the perfect place to come back to after a day exploring the lakes!
!!! We stayed for 3 nights and it felt like home from the second we arrived after receiving a lovely welcome from the owners. The facilities are great with a well equipped kitchen for those evenings cooking and lazy breakfasts. Hot tub is perfect after a long day exploring and nice and private. The bottle of fizz provided was a perfect touch. Nice outside seating area to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or enjoy a book too. The owners also have lots of information available to you for things to do and places to eat around the local area and are more than happy to help you with anything. I can't rate this highly enough and can't find any faults at all with it. 10/10 and would 100% stay again.

Everything is of a really high standard, and a lot of thought has been put in to make it a unique property, with lots of extra touches. The hot tub was lovely too and we had a day of rain which we didn't mind because the house was so lovely!

We had fabulous stay at coney grarth cottage it’s just what we needed it was perfect everything was just lovely.
Julie made us feel very welcome and she had made us these lovely cookies and also greeted us with some lovely home made lemon cake and homemade scones with fresh clotted cream and jam. They were amazing and a lovely bottle of Prosecco as well. The hot tub was just amazing too. The surrounding of the village was lovely as well just had that lovely warm feeling about the place. Julie and her husband gave us Some great places to visit . waswater was just amazing . The views around there were breathtaking, we just loved it there thanks for a lovely stay Julie it was just magical we loved it the journey down and the surrounding area which is breathtaking like something out of a storybook x

An exceptional property in a lovely part of the world.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay for 1-4 people then at Coney Garth all signs point to “Yes!” The litmus test being 10 minutes after arrival - “Could we live here…?” Oh yes we could ! Very clean, very comfortable and all the facilities you need. Lovely to meet Eric who introduced us to the property & hot tub operation - thanks Eric for your patience & welcome when we finally got there. Thanks Julie (owner) for the bubbly, lovely scones & cake and for taking the time to chat and making us all feel welcome.

The facilities were great and we really appreciated the lovely warm scones with jam and cream that Julie the owner brought round for us. The hot tub was well maintained and always ready for our use.

We had an amazing stay at coney garth cottage, Julie was an excellent host and nothing was too much, on arrival Julie brought us fresh home baking & bubbles which was a lovely treat after our drive.
The cottage is a great base for exploring the local area. Muncaster castle, St bees & seascale were personal favourites. The cottage was immaculate, decorated to a high standard and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of curtlery/glasses/mugs/utensils. Beds were comfy and we had an excellent sleep every night. The hot tub was a welcome treat to relax after a day of exploring. Coney Garth far exceeds previous self catering properties we have been too, you won't regret booking! See you again soon!

Absolutely 100%. Geoff and Julie were very informative about the surrounding area. Very welcoming. Nothing was any bother. Ideally located for West Lakes. Will definitely be back. Scones and cake were a lovely personal touch. Weather was brilliant.

Lovely cottage and village, friendly welcoming people in the local pub! Great base for exploring the western lakes and lots of great local recommendations from Geoff, I think we managed to tick them all off on our week away! Highlights were Muncaster Castle and rockpooling on St. Bees beach!

Owners were very approachable and kept the cottage to a very high standard . They went above and beyond to make your stay special with extra special touches . Very knowledgeable about the area able to recommend activities etc.

Every necessity provided for; from fluffy robes in the wardrobe to wonderful comfortable beds to fizz on arrival and several deliveries of homemade goodies! Our hosts clearly work so hard to make stays enjoyable and memorable. We will be back! Helen and Peter. The complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch, as was popping round with scones and cake. The property is in a great location for exploring the region and the hot tub was perfect for unwinding in after our little one had gone to bed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Julie had kindly baked some scones, a cake and left a bottle of bubbly as we were celebrating my husbands birthday. It was a teal treat after our long journey. Loved the hot tub.
Lovely cottage in a quiet and beautiful setting, fixtures and furnishings all to very high standard.
Lovely touches on arrival with a very warm welcome and freshly made scones with jam and cream, red velvet cake and a bottle of prosecco and water. The hot-tub was so relaxing, while sipping a glass of prosecco and watching the sheep and baby lambs in the field. We would highly recommend to family and friends looking to chill out in a fantastic cottage.

Hot tub was fab. Cottage is in a great quiet location close to the beach and not far from the lakes. Great hosts who were very accommodating.
Lovey cottage set in a beautiful little town.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and well laid out with washing machine, dishwasher and two bathrooms (with 2 teenagers that’s a must). Decorated to a high standard and with lots of little touches to make it feel special. We all loved the hot tub which was a really nice addition to the cottage. Hosts Julie & Geoff were amazing, with lots of advice on things to do, and some special treats when we arrived including a bottle of bubbly!! Julie also brought some delicious home made scones and cakes one of the afternoons which was a lovely touch. A short walk from the cottage, we ate twice in the local pub where they served lovely food. Highly recommend staying here, we all had a very relaxing break and would definitely go back again.
The cottage was like a home from home , the furnishings , fittings and cleanliness are faultless.
The outdoor space and hot tub are superb, the owners are so helpful and knowledgeable with information about the local area, walks and activities. The location of the cottage gives easy access to the lakes and the countryside, this was one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in.
The property is well situated near to the coast yet close enough to the Lake District to enable enjoyment of all areas.
We'll laid out and very clean, the open plan style provides a welcoming base for you holiday. The cottage is very clean with all the necessary items to make it feel a home-from-home. The owners greeted us in person and ensured we were comfortable upon arrival, even delivering fresh cakes for afternoon tea on our final day! All in all a well recommended cottage.

The cottage was beautiful and clean. I was amazed by all the attention to detail that has gone it to the cottage and hospitality. The host was fantastic throughout our stay, she was very helpful and even hand delivered fresh home made scones with clotted cream and jam which were to die for. We fully enjoyed our stay and intend to book again in the future.

Really nice personal touches from the owners too,Prosecco in the fridge chilled for our arrival,just perfect for the hot tub! Then on the Sunday afternoon,after lunch at the local pub,Julie the owner of the cottage popped round with freshly made warm scones,jam and cream,and some lovely home made carrott cake too.What a lovely gesture this was 1

Little touches like fresh homemade treats and a bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge was very much appreciated. Friendly and helpful with tips on where to go for day trips or meals etc. The cottage was lovely and comfortable and very well equipped. The hot tub was very welcome after long days out.

Coney Garth Cottage was perfect in every way for our visit to Cumbria.
Our accommodation was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. A bottle of Fizz, biscuits and freshly made scones awaited our arrival. The hot tub was a real luxury , particularly after a day of walking and exploring the Area around the Lake District. The cottage had it’s own car parking space , patio and patio furniture which in the afternoon was a real sun trap. It was a self catering cottage and because I do not like to shop too much whilst on holiday, I packed sufficient supplies for the week including dishwasher and washing machine tablets, dish cloth etc etc . As they say “ everything but the kitchen sink. There is a very friendly pub in Beckermet called the Royal Oak which serves delicious food . If you need to shop, Egremont is close by . We also went to Gosforth where there’s a very well equipped supermarket, a local bakery and a cafe called Yam Frae Yam which I highly recommend but as it is small , booking is recommended. All in all, we loved the cottage and do hope that we will be able to visit in the future.

Second year staying here, this time with friends. We couldn't ask for more. Comfort, convenience and privacy. Everything you need is close by to have a great holiday. Definitely worth the visit.
Lovely well equipped cottage with friendly hosts
Just had a great week in this beautiful cottage.
All the fixtures and fittings are top class and it really is lovely. Great base for the coast and western lakes, loads of places to visit within a 10 mile radius including Ennerdale Water, Wasdale/Wast Water, Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass-Eskdale steam train (all highly recommended). The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook but if you want to eat out there is a pub that does nice food in the village (the Royal Oak), doesn't do food Monday or Tuesday though and the White Mare has shut down so it's a drive to anywhere else (The Wild Olive in Gosforth, about 3-4 miles away is very nice).
We had a fantastic stay.
Great hosts and a well equipped clean cottage. The cottage is well located to enjoy the Western Lakes and the coast. We had a wonderful time wild swimming off St Bees Head, along the river Esk and in Wasdale. Lots of great walking too. The hot tub and scones and cake from the hosts next door was a pleasure to came back too. Also enjoyed a ride on Ratty and a visit to Muncaster castle. Loads of great pubs and cafes near by. Really enjoyed the Mill cafe for breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Everything about the cottage was just to our taste, so as well as being very well provisioned it was a "home-from-home" experience that exceeded our expectations.
We enjoyed the hot tub, and all the finishing touches, we found everything we needed to make this stay so relaxing. It's been one of our best weeks in Cumbria! We unreservedly recommend the Cottage, Retreat and Barn as places to base yourselves for holidays in the area. Hosts Geoff and Julie take the time to ensure things are fine. They have made their properties into the perfect holiday homes!

If you like outdoor activities West Cumbria has it all you will not be disappointed and Beckermet is lovely and unspoilt.
We stayed for a weekend and the only problem was it wasn’t long enough.
The cottage was perfect, thoroughly modern and spotlessly clean with a strong WiFi connection. We were greeted by Julie who is fantastic and genuinely can’t do enough for you. We HIGHLY recommend this cottage and we’ll definitely be going back. Elaine & Chris

Had everything you could need and more in the cottage.
Only down fall is that most things to do are an hour travelling in the car but with that in mind me and my friend still had a great time a very relaxing week. Enjoyed having chilled nights in the hot tub listening to music and having a few drinks. Julie and Geoff was very welcoming hosts came round to check everything was ok. We enjoyed the beatrix potter attraction very informal.

The cottage was one of the best we’ve stayed at with extremely high standards of comfort and cleanliness topped by thoughtfully personal attention to detail.
The hosts, Geoff and Julie provide a bottle of fizz to enjoy in the hot tub alongside lots of little extras that are missing in many properties. All items in the cottage are of the highest quality from the coffee machine to the Netflix subscription. Julie brought round a tray of her freshly baked scones , cakes, jam and cream for us to enjoy on the sunny patio. What a treat. Good place to explore the western Lakes and on return a 200 metre walk takes you to The White Mare with its fabulous food and large gin selection. Overall this is a perfect place to relax.
The accommodation was beautiful, decorated very tastefully and very modern, comfy beds, lovely big fluffy white towels, comfy sofas and even a coffee machine with complimentary coffee on go in it, very well equipped kitchen.
Hosts very nice people, they live just next door, nothing to much trouble, they left prosseco in the fridge for when your in the hot tub and bought us hot scones with jam and cream and lemon drizzle cake on Sunday afternoon and it was very nice to, thank you for that, it's a very relaxing place, nothing but a field behind the cottage so complete privacy when in the hot tub. There is a lovely pub just round the corner with award winning food and a very nice gin selection, it's the only pub left in the village so would advise booking so as not to be dissapointed, all in all a very nice time hope to go again later this year
