“We were cautious due to past reviews on this listing.”

I emailed Sykes Cottages to check these out as it was a holiday for our elderly parents who need a lot of care and have specific needs. Other than some cobwebs in different rooms and needing a slightly better clean (eg down the side of the bed in the single room, behind furniture, under beds and washer having dirty water in it) the accommodation was perfect! Had we gone on reviews alone, we would not have booked and would have missed out on what was a really homely, spacious, comfortable cottage ...

Other than some cobwebs in different rooms and needing a slightly better clean (eg down the side of the bed in the single room, behind furniture, under beds and washer having dirty water in it) the accommodation was perfect! Had we gone on reviews alone, we would not have booked and would have missed out on what was a really homely, spacious, comfortable cottage in an idyllic location near the Lake! The beds were well dressed, there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, the kitchen was well equipped and clean, the lounge spacious with large comfy, space for two cars outside and handy downstairs toilet/shower with seat (great for disabled access) and new, clean bathroom upstairs. The garden was large and well maintained, perfect for this beautiful weather we’ve just had. Highly recommend.
