Excellent location, immaculately clean and everything you require

we loved the location and the cottage It was a bit difficult getting used to all the slopes when parking and entering and leaving the property, but this was minor.

We did say we would like to book this property again next year if it is still available.

We loved the amount of living space there was, which was really useful for 5 adults staying in the property.

The kitchen was well equipped, with lots of space to store our food, and we appreciated the welcoming gifts left by the owner. The ensuite bedroom was a little cramped (both bedroom and the bathroom), but perfectly adequate. There weren't many instructions re checking out, in terms of if we needed to do anything with the bedding, towels or rubbish, so trusted they would be taken care of when the property was cleaned. Really enjoyed our stay there.

The property is so much better than the photos on the website. Chocolates and Prosecco were welcome gifts from the owners. Bungalow is lovely and warm, kitchen well equipped and main bathroom was spacious. Extra lounge off the en-suite bedroom was really useful for the grandchildren to chill out. Would definitely stay again.

The bungalow is clean, comfortable and spacious. All needs catered for. Have already recommended to family and friends and will continue to do so. Property is in a great location, with pubs, restaurants, shops anf of course the lake within walking distance. Being near to good bus routes, means you don't always need the car to go further afield. Love this place.

Fantastic property. Warm and homely. Got everything that you need. No need to move car, bus stops close by and half way between Windermere and Bowness so easy to walk to.

Mylnebeck is a wonderful little bungalow situated in between Windermere and Bowness, in easy walking distance of both.

Four of us stayed and had a fantastic stay. Everything we needed and a real home from home. Clean, tidy and comfortable with little extras that helped to make our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the lakes.

Mylnebeck Lodge is ideally placed between the town of Windermere and Bowness by the lake.

Our family had a memorable stay, the property was clean and well furnished with all the amenities we could want. We are highly likely to book again and would recommend.

The property is situated in a convenient location.

It is a decent size property, it is modern, clean and very comfortable. It is fully equipped. It has a big living room and it also has an additional smaller, cosy living room with a very comfortable sofa, TV and additional hanging space for clothes. We would recommend Mylnebeck lodge and we are hoping to book another stay soon.

I booked this cottage for four elderly ladies; they certainly enjoyed the comfort, space, the location, the convenience of off road parking, and gave many superlatives about the decor and style of Mylnebeck Cottage, a great place to come home to every evening, many thanks to the owner.

Very convenient for walking into Bowness and Windermere. Also very close to bus stop so no need to move car. Very clean ,warm and welcoming. Feels like home. This is our 2nd stay. Hopefully be back 2024

Our 3rd stay at this cottage and it's been improved and extended there was only two of us but a family of 6 would be very comfortable.

It is in walking distance of Bowness and Windermere. We will be booking it again.

Beautiful bungalow, very clean and loads of room for the family to spread out in, probably the nicest holiday place we have stayed in.

Loved all the tvs and how modern it was. It was in a great location about 12 mins into bowness and near loads of great restaurants. The owner was great, we had a problem with wasps which he sorted out very promptly which was much appreciated especially as it was a bank holiday weekend.

The location couldn't be better, in between windermere town centre and Bowness. Each room had its own unique design which myself, my wife and 6 month old son loved. We also appreciated the welcome chocolates and drink which greeted us upon arrival, they soon vanished! Lisa, Matt (and little Ralph)

First class accommodation, along with being a perfect location for a "base camp" to visit nearby attractions.

After a long drive, we were welcomed to Mylnebeck Lodge, immaculately presented, very comfortable, warm and cosy, every convenience catered with nothing lacking, including a massive amount of off-road parking-a definite luxury for Windermere/Bowness.

The quality of the accommodation is exceptional, a very enjoyable holiday made very pleasant by returning to Mylnebeck Lodge in the evenings. Many thanks to the owner for the welcome pack, very generous of you indeed. We are booking this cottage again in October for our Autumn break, and have recommended it to all our friends.

Spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable.

Parking right next to the door was great for my husband, whose not very able bodied, hence choosing a bungalow. Bed was comfy and lovely walk in shower. Some nice Christmas touches and a lovely gift of Prosecco and chocolates from our attentive owner. Would definitely book again.

We have just returned from a 3 day break and had a lovely time!

The bungalow is deceptively spacious with the added bonus of a second lounge! We are a family of 5 and the children loved it, they wanted to stay for longer. I’ve recommended this place to all my friends. The location is ideal half way between Windermere and Bowness, roughly a 10 minute walk either way. Thank you!

The property is very comfortable and clean. You relax the moment you go through the front door. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable. Lounge well set up. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely bungalow and has everything you need for a great holiday.

Its warm and very cosy, plus its in a great position. The only down side for me was that despite the pictures looking like its flat around the bungalow the drive is quite steep, that said it wouldn't put me off from visiting again.

Better than expected, very clean and felt at home.

Love the position with easy acces to Bowness and Windermere. Bus stop nearly on doorstep so no need to use car. Would love to return but dates we need not available for next year.

Mylnebeck Lodge feels like it is our home from the moment we arrive until the moment we leave.

Great facilities, spacious, clean with some great additional touches (such as DVDs, Prosecco & chocolates). The location is excellent and an easy walk to Windermere and Bowness. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

It’s location between Windermere and Bowness was ideal, as were the parking facilities. The complimentary Prosecco and chocolates was a nice and welcome gesture. The only disappointment was the week passed too quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful bungalow, spotlessly clean, very welcoming.

The bungalow is situated between Bowness and Windermere, both within easy walking distance. There were numerous cafes and restaurants to chose from and we found the people very friendly. So central for travelling round the Lake District, but we didn’t use the car very much, as everything we needed was right on the doorstep. When we come back to the Lake District, there is only one place we would chose to stay.

Lovely property - the owners had thought of everything you would need for a home from home.

The Lodge was very comfortable and spacious and indeed roomier than we anticipated.

It is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect in that you can walk to Bowness and Windermere. Would definitely recommend Milnebeck Lodge and hope to return some day.

Very comfortable cottage.

Very clean. Great takeaways within walking distance. Garden is very pretty. Not behind the house but across the driveway up a few stone steps. We sat there a couple of times for a pre dinner drink.

An extremely comfortable home from home, with a welcoming package of wine and chocolates in addition.

Perfect location didn’t use the car all week.

Everything you need in the clean well equipped bungalow Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Can walk down to the lake in 15 mins but a very steep hill walking back up. Would recommend without reservation.

A mention of the metal steps leading to the garden.

Garden could do with some maintenance, not somewhere you could sit out, untidy and uneven ground. Didn’t bother us as we were out all day but a tidy up would have given this cottage ‘exceeds expectations’

Brilliant cottage in a perfect location.

Very spacious, light and airy and all the facilities you would want. An absolute pleasure to stay in we were totally relaxed on our first day. This was our first visit and we highly recommend Mylnebeck and obviously will return.

Lovely bungalow home away from home.

It was very well equipped with little extra touches tea/ coffee milk plus chocolates and wine. It was a perfect central location, 5 min walk into Bowness, which is fab, turn left out of bungalow and 5 min walk into Windermere. I would happily stay here again.

The lodge was spotless and had everything you needed for a comfortable holiday.

It was well situated within easy reach of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere. Park the car up and walk everywhere. The weather was kind to us and we were out and about every day. The lodge works perfectly as a base. Lovely welcome touch of a box of chocolates, hand written card from the owners and a bottle of Prosecco. Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Biscuits provided. Plentiful supply of DVDs and records. Great WIFI!! My daughters give it a 10/10. Thank you!!!

Very clean and quiet cottage. All the necessities you need for your stay. We had a great time driving around the Lake District and then back to the cottage for dinner from the local restaurants, or cook a meal in the fully equipped kitchen in the cottage. The Lodge was in a very good location with easy access to the lake, restaurants and local shopping.

The accommodation was very nicely presented and extremely well equipped with all that you would need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this cottage and give it 5 stars.

It rained alot while we were there and had to stay in but it was still great just being there.

Cottage is in a central location, both Windermere and Bowness-on-windermere are in easy walking distance.

The owners have thought of everything you could need to make it homely.

An immaculately presented and comfortable cottage, perfectly located for the Southern Lakes and all of the facilities available in Bowness and Windermere, with the bonus of ample off road parking it was a great starting point for our holiday, it was our second stay at Mylnebeck Lodge, looking forward to booking again in 2020.

Had a great time at Mylnebeck Lodge and it was nice to be able to walk to town instead of using the car all the time.

What a great place to stay we loved it .

The conservatory needed some heating and a light so that you can read at night time.

The bathroom needs a better fan to clear the windows No mat for the bathroom If the shower fills with water and the water drains off the tray , The bungalow is lovely, well stocked kitchen including a welcome pack. Easy walking distance into Bowness and you could walk into Windermere in 10 minutes. The beds are very comfy.

Mylnebeck cottage was immaculately presented with everything you need for a wonderful holiday. The owners had left us a lovely Christmas card, and present, to get our Christmas break off to a wonderful start. I would not hesertate to recommend this cottage and will certainly be booking again.

perfectly located between Bowness and Windermere, an easy stroll into both towns. plenty of off-road parking is a definite bonus. The weather was a little unkind, but that did not stop us enjoying all the attractions of the Lake District, great to come back to a comfortable warm cottage in the evening.

The bungalow was really comfortable and well located just 5 minutes walk to the shops and bars of Bowness.

The only niggle was the sofas they were very low and not that supportive, loved the little conservatory at the front spent most of our time during the day in it. Would definitely recommend this property for a holiday.

Mylnebeck Lodge is a wonderful place to stay.

; very comfortable and homely. It has all the necessary facilities to make a holiday enjoyable. When the sun is shining, the sun room is a brilliant place to lounge with a good book and even when it's not, it is a great place to sit and have a little time for tranquillity.. The house is in a perfect place, less then 10 minutes away from the lake and local shops. This was my second visit and as soon as I walked into the house, I was relaxed as I knew I was guaranteed a to have a lovely time. I will definitely be staying there again.

We weren't expecting luxury with it only being three ticks but found it very comfortable for the type of holiday we had.

Location was the main criteria and it's position was fantastic being halfway between Bowness and Windermere

The cottage was very homely and comfortable.

it contained everything, we needed, which made our holiday brilliant and worthwhile. It was so clean and tidy that we felt obliged to leave it as we found it. My father is in a wheelchair so the double doors worked well for him. Please give the owners a great big thank you for extending the checking out time. The Sun room was a wonderful place to sit in the day time, the beds were really comfortable, the lounge was great to relax in, the garden provided us with a peaceful place to sit in the fresh air during the day and early evening and the kitchen had everything needed from pots, pans right down to a dryer. It is a fantastic place to stay and I would give it 10/10. The one and only thing to be looked at (which in my opinion is a minor) is the shower screen, which does not stop water from spilling out onto the floor as it has no seal at the bottom and with this in mind until fixed a second bath mat is needed so that when one is drying another can be used in its place. My family and I loved every moment and We will definitely be booking this cottage in the future. Thank you
