The property is very small and not in great condition.

We felt very claustrophobic while staying there. As well the numerous flights of stairs was way too much.

Best property I’ve hired yet!

Location is perfect,well set out and well maintained lovely homes from home Just be wary that the stairs are quite steep and need to be fit enough to get up to it on 3rd floor Nothing negative to say about this place

There was a time when a degree of hospitality was given when hosting guests.

Now there aren't even the basics of milk in the fridge or working batteries in the TV remote.

We love coming to tree tops.

Been several times & booked for next year. 2 things though, first the bed is so noisy, I mean every time you turn over it squeaks & wakes you up. There seems to be a mattress topper but it's under the mattress not on the top. Also even though we don't cook a meal we wanted to warm croissants up but the oven didn't work & couldn't find the switch on the wall for it or instructions on what to do which was frustrating. Apart from this it's a nice comfortable stay. Hope the bed is sorted for next year.

It’s worth noting though that you are only about 10 metres from the pub that plays loud music and has live music most nights. There’s about 30 steps to the flat,

Whilst the following did not detract from our enjoyment I do not believe your property description mentions that no lift is provided and 36 stairs need to be climbed to reach this apartment.

Super apartment in Bowness, really enjoyed my stay here.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and quiet, well equipped (including a very convenient parking space) and only seconds from the centre of the town and all the restaurants and pubs. A few minutes walk to the lake and jetty too. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or to stay there again.

The only negative was there were 2 lemon diffusers in the property which we had to put outside the door as the scent gives me a headache & sickness.

We put them back as we left .

Idea place to stay in bowness the stairs weren’t too bad but omg the smell!

When we first opened the door we thought maybe it hadn’t been used for a while might need airing but unfortunately the two hand towels, the bath towels, the tea towels and the bedding all smelt disgusting the place it’s self was lovely besides the big black foot prints in the shower that needed to be cleaned off the smell was a really bad smell of dirty towels and bedding we thought maybe if we sprayed air fresheners so bought some but no by the second night I couldn’t stand the smell so as you can imagine was very sleep deprived which ruined are stay you really need to use washing powder when washing that’s if they had been washed lovely little place would of definitely stayed again if it wasn’t for the smell and dirty floor throughout a real shame as it’s in an ideal spot for a lovely stay in bowness

The flat is tastefully decorated and well equipped.

It is in a very central location and best of all comes with parking. I’ll be returning.

Ideal for couples ,as stated in listing this is a third floor apartment so not not suited for those with mobility issues. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything (and more than) you could possible require for your holiday

The apartment was very cosy, clean, and incredibly well located - it was a great base which we could go back to while exploring Windermere.

We’d definitely stay again!

This was exactly as described in the write up!

Even the stairs upto the apartment. This didn't put us off as the route to the main road and lakeside was literally a 3 minute walk! All the pubs, some with live music, and eateries you could ever want are just 5 minutes down the road toward the lakeside, where there are boat trips with fantastic views and other entertainment to keep you happy. A Co-op and Tesco extra are also on the main road for those little bits that you may need, although there is a welcome pack that is good when you arrive. Lots of everyday items available to use in the kitchen making breakfast by the window lovely. The rooms were a good size with plenty of storage. Quiet at night even though it's so close to the main areas. Only draw back was the Internet and no visible welcome advice booklet which we did eventually find. Have to say it was amazing for location and would suggest it to family and friends!

Thank you for the 3rd floor flat - it was fabulously resourced, super clean, brilliant use of space and the extra throws were a nice touch in chilly February!

We were hoping for a dvd player as listed but the catch up TV was great. Wonderful quiet location and good parking. The heavy front door was a surprise but needed for fire safety. We had a lovely break, thank you. Would certainly recommend.

Nice quiet apartment with everything you need close to town and lake

Treetops is a centrally located apartment at the top of the block.

Not for the less abled who may struggle with stairs. Whilst we were there, we found the apartment comfortable and clean and everything we needed. The only thing I would say is I would prefer a washing machine to a dishwasher because I hate coming home with loads of washing to do. We didn't use the dishwasher at all as barely used anything. But that is of course a personal thing. I would definitely recommend Tree Tops; it's so close to the town centre and the sofa is so comfy, we relaxed on it during many rainy days in November!

location is brilliant 4th time here and back again next June but the 32 steps are telling now

Amazing location, minutes away from the lake!

I loved the thoughtful additions in this property, like the fan for hotter days and extension leads! Everything went really smoothly with our time there and everything worked as expected. Definitely keep in mind the 3 flights of stairs though as this would be difficult for someone less able. Just a few minor notes: The floor was a bit dirty so I had to keep my slippers on otherwise my feet would be gross- a bit annoying after showering but not a deal breaker! It could maybe use a blanket on the sofa just to make it more cosy? It would’ve been nice to know some of the things included beforehand so we didn’t pack as much and walk it up them stairs!

Fantastic location close to the town centre with all the amenities on your doorstep.

We found the apartment to have everything we required and was as advertised.

It was very clean and we appreciated the few finer items like handwash, washing up liquid etc. being provided. Being centrally situated with parking was very convenient to all amenities in Bowness. We very much enjoyed our week and would seriously consider staying here again when we return to this area.

Really enjoyed staying there. Small but really perfectly formed. Spotless, comfortable, well equipped and great location. Not for publishing: Before the holiday I enquired about whether there was a hairdryer and was told no but there is one so maybe the details need updating?

Tree Tops View is a lovely apartment.

It is very clean and comfortable with everything thoughtfully provided. The location is extremely convenient for Bowness with all its shops, restaurants and walks around Lake Windermere. We really enjoyed our stay and would go again.

A neat compact apartment near to everything that you would need in Bowness.

This was the third time I have stayed here, so it's obviously something of a favourite, and I will certainly come back again. Also - a first in all the properties I have stayed in over the years - knives in the kitchen that are actually sharp enough to cut!

We were very happy with accommodation, very comfortable and clean.

We reported an issue with kitchen window lock not working which was dealt with speedily and professionally. We felt the mattress topper on bed for us was unnecessary and uncomfortable making the bed too high and rolling at edges. A cafetiere would also have been nice as we left ours behind thinking one to be there. We would recommend this accommodation if you want something central to the lake and all facilities.

Had a lovely stay at Tree Tops and it was a great base to explore the surrounding area from.

The apartment was quite compact but was absolutely fine for what we needed and we both found the bed so comfy! Had initial reservations about the bed as a few reviewers had mentioned being uncomfortable due to it being quite soft and I suffer from a bad back but was pleasantly surprised to find I slept so well with minimal aches and pains! The apartment was clean and tidy, although I would have expected a slightly higher level of cleaning as there were quite a few surfaces that were quite dusty. This didn’t distract from our lovely stay though!

POSITIVES - Clean flat, plenty of kitchen utensils, bonus having a dishwasher NEGATIVES - The bed mattress was very uncomfortable (cheap poor quality mattress), it was like sleeping on a bouncy castle.

We are both below 12 stones in weight and literally our bodies sunk into the mattress. A very uncomfortable sleep for the whole week. Also the blinds were pull down blinds which gave you no privacy during the daylight hours from the flats opposite or from the balconies to the right of the bedroom who can see into the bedroom from an angle. Had to keep the blinds down during the day. Other flats had vertical blinds which could be half opened during daylight hours to maintain privacy.

A wonderful apartment ideal for visiting the Lakes.

Centrally located in Bowness and very close to all amenities. Parking spot is a bonus. Close to a main road, so slightly noisy, but not enough to spoil any enjoyment of the location.

The apartment was really nice, and in a fantastic position for Bowness town centre and facilities.

The apartment was excellent apart from the cleanliness of the toilet, other than that we had a brilliant holiday.

A 5 minute walk to lake windermere and Beatrix potter experience literally next door. most places of interest only being a short drive away

When we booked the apartment, there had been no recent reviews, prior to our departure, there were a couple of recent ones.

On seeing these that may have affected our booking of the apartment, but that was too late. The apartment is located in a very good place for shops, restaurants etc, there are many steps into the apartment. The bed mattress (in our opinion) was too soft, the dining room chairs you sank right down into them as you sat down, we were aware of the sink in the shower room being too small (from a recent review) which we agree with. On the whole the place was just big enough for 2 people.

We loved our stay at Tree Tops.

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Parking was a bonus and the location could not have been better. We highly recommend.

The only thing that spoilt the accommodation was the shower room.

The sink is so tiny and inconveniently located that you can do no more than wash your hands without water spilling out and down the front panel and on to the floor. This has created damp, which is the first thing you smell as you open the shower room door. Washing your face, or rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth, involves twisting your head sideways to avoid banging your head on the wall, and to minimise the water running off your face and onto the floor.

Great apartment.

Exactly what we were looking for. Two issues - the sofa and the bed were uncomfortable. The bed's mattress was too soft and you rolled off the side. The softness of a mattress is a personal preference I know but this was very soft and by the 3rd night, I couldn't sleep properly on it and had to get up and lie on the sofa which was also uncomfortable as the cushions were too thin.

just found the sofa uncomfortable especially on the neck kept putting a pillow on top of the sofa to support my neck been here for 2 weeks but everything else is fine back again in 6 weeks for w/e

This is the second time that I have stayed at Tree Tops so I new what to expect and was not disappointed.

The apartment is clean, compact and convenient for all that Bowness on Windermere has to offer. I would certainly consider returning to ot a third time.

Few minutes walk to restaurants, shops and bars. Apartment had everything we needed apart from washing machine. Will definitely go back next year.

The apartment was clean and is in a great location.

Unfortunately I got ill for the first few days so only made the most of it through the last half of my holiday. The company is very helpful. As I was ill they tried to assist me in every way they could and the lovely lady Claire was so helpful too. I would highly recommend to book this place through sykescottages. Would definitely come back.

Lovely stay at Treetops, fantastic location and very well equipped with a very comfy bed.

Only thing which could be improved is the bedroom blind, would benefit from being changed to one which was more black out.

Great location, close to shops, restaurants and the lake.

The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday and the underfloor heating was lovely as it was freezing cold and snowing/hailing/raining most of the time I was there!

The apartment was lovely, clean and cosy.

The accommodation was described fairly accurately in that it was an apartment for 2 people close to amenities and was furnished in accordance with the pictures i.

e. pleasant and modern. It was very convenient for the town and overall was very clean and comfortable. People renting this accommodation do however need to be aware that it is a very small apartment, and that there are several sets of stairs to climb (not just 3). The shower room (although generally clean) is starting to show signs of mold on the ceiling and bottom of the shower door. There is also a slight smell of mould in the shower room.

Very good location plenty of places to eat three pubs on the door step really good fish and chip shop at bottom of steps would recomend .

Only down side is no washer or drier we got soaked on the Sunday and no where to dry clothes no where to hang them and no radiators
