“A wonderful cottage as a base to explore the whole of the lake district, but especially the northern lakes, fells and countryside.”
It's a small comfortable cottage with all the amenities needed except WiFi, which for us was fine.
Free parking and an extremely comfortable bed, after spending days out hiking and experiencing the beautiful lake district.
We stayed for four nights and spent a couple of evenings in the three main hostelries, eating and having a couple of pints.
Top tip, visit Buttermere and enjoy a circular walk around the entire lake. It's roughly a 4.5 mile walk, so take a drink. We had lunch after the walk at Syke farm cafe.
Would definitely stay at Kidsty cottage in Shap again.
