“We had an amazing stay at The Ridge, it was the perfect space for us all.”
Our family group ranged from 6 months to 60 years old. The 2 year old loved the space to run on the decking whilst the 60 year old enjoyed being master of the grill for the holiday. It was a bit rainy but this didn’t dampen our spirits, our favourite time was sat in the outdoor bath first and last thing watching the boats going up and down Windermere. My only niggle was that we had chosen this property over another because of kayaks and paddle boards being available but there were no kayaks ...

It was a bit rainy but this didn’t dampen our spirits, our favourite time was sat in the outdoor bath first and last thing watching the boats going up and down Windermere. My only niggle was that we had chosen this property over another because of kayaks and paddle boards being available but there were no kayaks. When I enquired about this I was told that the kayak had a hole in it. It would have been nice if another could have been sourced or even a little message before arrival saying it was unfortunately out of action so we didn’t have that expectation.
Aside from this our week was amazing, everything inside and out was beautifully presented, the hamper a lovely welcome, there was plenty of space for everyone to comfortably sit together in all the rooms, the fantastic views from the living spaces and bedrooms, the games room was well used and the quick response when we had a maintenance issue on the first night was very much appreciated. The Ridge definitely deserves its 5 * rating.
