“The cottage was very cold when we arrived - there was clearly an issue with the heating, which was highlighted by previous tenants.”

System defaulted to just 7 degrees every few hours and had to be manually increased....not the cosy Christmas we had envisioned. Contact with owner/caretaker the day after arrival resulted in the problem being resolved by mid afternoon, but it meant we stayed in throughout Christmas Eve to ensure the system was fixed. There are a couple of other points that have been raised by previous tenants that haven't been addressed, such as the broken handle on the dishwasher and very unattractive patch ...

There are a couple of other points that have been raised by previous tenants that haven't been addressed, such as the broken handle on the dishwasher and very unattractive patch of damp on the landing - there was also an extremely dirty non slip mat in the bath. The cottage didn't feel as well cared for as others we have stayed in. We did, however, appreciate the Christmas tree which we had requested.
