    “Excellent property of a very high standard.”

    Spotlessly clean, every home comfort you could wish for. Owner provided welcome goodies which was a nice bonus. Only issue was that 5pm check in is rather late and 9am check out quite early especially with a family to get sorted and to leave property in a clean order. All in all a wonderful find and great holiday I would definitely recommend

This terraced cottage rests on a quiet cul-de-sac near the lovely village of Burton-in-Kendal, just a short drive from Kirkby Lonsdale, an area abound with walks and opportunities to see local birds and wildlife in a fabulous area of Lancashire. Situated at the north end of Morecambe Bay, north of the historic town of Lancaster, 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, the village is close to other local attractions such as the swimming pool and leisure centre at Capernwray. Not forgetting Greenlands Farm Village for crafts, local produce, a play area, café and a garden centre. The lovely area just north of Carnforth has tidal sands bordering the huge expanse of Morecambe Bay. A destination not to be missed. Kirkby Lonsdale 7 miles; Kendal 12 miles.

A small, traditional Cumbrian village set in beautiful countryside and ideally placed for exploring Southern Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and the peaceful Forest of Bowland. The village has a Post Office/general store for stocking up on the essentials and lies 7 miles from the lovely old market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, and 12 miles from Kendal, the gateway to the Lake District. There is easy access to many areas of interest, with the historic city of Lancaster and the seaside resorts of Morecambe and Blackpool all within easy reach. The acclaimed RSPB wildfowl reserve of Leighton Moss is only 4 miles away, while Morecambe Bay is also famous for birdwatching. Other locations well worth a visit are the villages of Silverdale and Arnside (overlooking the beautiful Kent Estuary), Ingleton, Settle and Clapham. Levens Hall (famous topiary) and medieval Sizergh Castle with a beautiful garden are nearby. Good pubs and restaurants are also abound in the area. There is plenty of good walking nearby, and golf, fishing and riding are all available locally.
