A peaceful location within a short drive to the more popular busier locations. Near to RSPB Leighton Moss,Kirby Stephen and Lake District. Nature walks from the door. Cottage and garden lovely, clean and well cared for. Garden is secure if taking your dog(s). Lots of birds to see in the trees in the neighbouring gardens. Helpful owners next door if needed. Would recommend a sun umbrella or canopy for the garden as it is a sun trap. We had some rain but would sit out if suitable cover. Would recommend to family and friends.

The cottage was clean, modern and comfortable with everything you need.

We had a lovely stay at this modern cottage with all equipment including an air fryer , coffee macine, smart tv, a washing machine, very comfy bed.

Enclosed , safe with the high fence garden for our 2 dogs was a big bonus. Patio with the seating area and deck chairs for sun bathing. Situated in a quiet area ,close to drive to a lots of destinations. Hosts very helpful. Very enjoyable holiday to celebrate my husband birthday.

The property is perfect, its location is ideal to head to all the amenities and towns that are popular with all ages, if you want to hike, shop or simply see the spectacular views it’s all there.

Relaxing here, is also perfect if you want time out. The hosts Gareth and Kirsti are wonderful, from the moment they greet you, you and your holiday are important to them. They leave you to your own devices but if you want anything they will help. Booked again already.

This is the best Sykes cottage we've stayed in.

The owners are near if needed but not intrusive. Cottage very clean and very comfortable. Everything is included. Wee treat box really appreciated. Herbal tea a lovely addition. Good garden and patio to enjoy if weather good. Underfell is well situated to visit Lake District. You're really not to far from any of big towns or lakes. There's a bus (the 555) we discovered this year that goes. There's a bus stop at bottom of road with all details Well worth the fare of £3. Burton in Kendal lovely wee village with village shop and fabulous restaurant. All in all Underfell has so much going for it. Best place to stay. Thank you

From the pictures, this looks a pretty average and small property.

So when we arrived to find it was much more spacious that I thought, I was pleasantly suprised! It was very light, airy, modern whilst being really comfortable and very clean! The owner greeted us upon arrival and was a very, very helpful chap, offering ideas of places to visit while we were there and told me to message him any time if I had any questions. The home is in a very quiet road, clear parking about 10 feet from the front door! The property is accessed via a touch keypad so no need to carry a key anywhere with you! Brilliant! The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook the entire week without any issues. The floors were easily cleanable with muddy dogs, and there is a washing machine and vacuum cleaner which I really liked as was able to keep the place clean and tidy. The kitchen is modern and well laid out, the kitchen and lounge is all nicely open plan which works really, really well for a holiday. The entire place is on one level which is wonderful. The bedrooms were clean and had everything you need. I really loved this whole space. The owner was VERY quick to respond if I had any questions and was absolutely fabulous-the perfect host! All bed linen was lovely and clean and fresh, the bathroom is a wet room and the whole place was well laid out, clean and modern. What I loved most, is that this property has the BEST garden for dogs! The absolute BEST! it is a great size and was VERY secure!!!! VERY! This is what attracted me to the property initially and the garden was much nicer and bigger than the pictures show, too! This is a HUGE selling point fo you want to let your dogs run free and play in the garden. Terrific! I would absolutely stay again. It has been very well thought through, very clean, light and airy, great garden for ALL times of the year, and a great location to visit the area. I can HIGHLY recommend. WELL DONE to these owners for doing such a GREAT job!!!! Absolutely A*! Loved it!

A lovely stay at Underfell again .

We love this little cottage, clean and comfortable, so peaceful and relaxing too , just a perfect getaway place . Highly recommend. Gareth and Kristi made us very welcome as always , the treat box was lovely too. Lucille and Barry Stirrup

The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, taking time to explain anything I needed to know, despite my late arrival.

The accommodation is very well located for visiting the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales without paying extortionate prices. The owners really have thought of everything you could possibly want and the large enclosed garden was great for my two beagles, although they very rarely used it as they were too exhausted after our trips out. The accommodation is perfect. The Lake District is breathtaking.

We had a lovely stay at underfell and everything was provided.

The only reason I have given a 4 star is because there were no coat hooks . The only place I eventually found some was in a small cupboard with the washing m/c and vacume cleaner. I actually left my coats when we left, due to it being easy to miss. However I was told they would be posted on free, so no complaints there. The whole place was spotless, except for the tv remote in the bedroom which was very sticky, but it was only a minor issue as I always put them in plastic bags on arrival. These are only very minor points however, and I would happily stay again.

Everything was as described and better enclosed garden and patio was perfect for us and Barney the dog.

The kitchen had everything needed and lounge and bedroom comfortable had a lovely stay and would highly recommend it.

A lovely week spent at Underfell.

Had everything we needed. Host was very friendly and welcoming and then left us to it which was perfect. The location is excellent to explore the Lakes and surrounding areas. The garden is completely secure and our two dogs settled instantly. We’d definitely recommend Underfell and would love to go back.

Would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage, it had everything you needed and more - we were met by the owner Gareth, a lovely man, who went through the main things ie heating, door access pad, shower - it was spotlessly clean and owners had left a bottle of prosecco in fridge and box of biscuits for us to enjoy during our stay - large secure garden for our french bulldog to run about in and lovely patio area with table and chairs and sunloungers if needed - such a peaceful and relaxing break for my 60th Birthday

Beautiful property for our stay. Was met by the owner Gareth on arrival who couldn’t have been more welcoming. The flat/bungalow is modern & spotlessly clean with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Fantastic fittings, top quality bedding and every mod con you could want. Fantastic private garden and patio area for the dog. Plenty of local information to hand and Gareth made it clear he was at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Small village pub just a walk away but lots to do in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend, Gareth and Kirstie, you had thought of everything to make any guest more than comfortable. Hope to see you again.

We have just had a lovely few days at Underfell.

It is a good location for touring the area, there is even a bus stop just a few minutes walk, where there is an hourly service to Lancaster or the Lakes. The furnishing is very dog friendly including a full enclosed, fenced grass garden again very much with guests and their dog in mind. They have ample hard standing car parking, and Gareth the owner even left a bottle of de-icer on our door step on a frosty morning, perfect customer care.

what an amazing cottage. Everything you need, warm, comfortable, cosy and out dogs loved the safe and secure garden. The host was very helpful and friendly when we arrived and nothing would have been too much trouble if we need anything. Would love to come back again.

This was our second stay at Underfell, we had a fabulous time, just like the last time .

So quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing and chilling , great walks and beautiful towns to visit. So happy with this holiday home we have booked for next year twice and are looking forward to it . Our time there was lovely, the facilities were even more then we expected and it was a well equipped kitchen which was really nice to have and our dog loved it aswell as the big enclosed garden which was lovely to have that peace of mind.

We would definitely stay again in the future.

Our week in underfell was a proper home from home Gareth the owner was there to greet us and consequently gave us a tour information regarding appliances.

Though the weather was very changeable we still had a lovely time. The cottage is up a very quite cul-de-sac pleasant and private back garden that when the sun shines is quite a sun trap. We would have no problem returning for another stay in the future & personal thanks to Gareth for his hospitality.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Underfell and would recommend it.

So peaceful. The owner did greet us, which was nice, he gave us instructions on opening the key lock, recycling etc. We appreciated the welcome pack. I missed having a rail in the shower, also having glittery towels is a bit off putting when you are going out. Overall it was very pleasant.

The property was exceptionally clean and very modern, it was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a home from home break.

We enjoyed waking in the morning and opening the doors to the patio area which overlooked the back yard, it was private and secure enough for our dog. The location was ideal for visiting surrounding areas, not too far to travel to the places we wanted to visit such as Windermere, Kendal, Cartmel to name but a few. If I had one request it would be for some blinds or curtains in the living area to close in the evening. As previously mentioned, the property was very private but this would be my personal preference. A big thanks for the biscuits, lovely fresh eggs, and bottle of Prosecco, which we very much appreciated. We had a 10/10 stay and would recommend to friends and family.

A lovely welcome from Gareth fresh eggs and the bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Underfell had everything you could possibly need . The garden was completely enclosed so our little Jackapoo really appreciated not having to be on her lead all the time. We will definitely be visiting again.

A lot of other properties could take a leaf out of this owners book! Worth every penny. A warm welcome from helpful owner. Quiet little village with plenty of local walks. Perfect getaway locations. Very dog friendly.

Underfell is a beautiful cottage.

Very well situated in Burton in Kendal. Close to the lakes and towns. Good for walking holiday or lazing. The village is just a short walk and Kings Arms does great meals. The cottage has everything you need and more. Good garden and very nice patio to sit and enjoy sunny weather ( which we were very lucky to get!!). A really good size of cottage plenty of space inside and out. Great host and lovely goodie box with fabulous fresh eggs (thank you). This was our second visit and hopefully not our last. A great holiday enhanced by beautiful place to stay.

A beautiful surrounding area, with plenty of things to do . The cottage was lovely, clean and very welcoming. Kai (our dog) enjoyed the garden which was big and enclosed, the patio was just a perfect sun trap area, ideal for sitting out. The basket treats were a lovely touch and the eggs were delicious. Had a lovely week, the cottage was really nice.

Modern spacious and very well equipped. The garden was fully enclosed and our dog Bramble loved running about in it. Athoroughly relaxing place to stay.

Made to feel very welcome and it was very apparent that the owners really cared that we should enjoy our stay. Cottage was great with everything you could need and everything was of a high quality. Just sorry we were there in March and could not make any use of the patio area.

Excellent location for access North and South, Lakes and Yorkshire.

Fantastic local walks up Hutton Roof or along the canal. The scenery from both is spectacular. Well equipped, comfortable bed and furniture, strong WiFi and keypad access to the property negates the need for a key. Gareth was very welcoming and friendly, there if needed.

House was clean and well appointed.

It was a really cold week and it was lovely and warm. Easiest heating control ever ! Dog loved the garden and bed was very comfy. Owner checked all was ok when we arrived.

The property was great and a handy base for exploring in all directions.

booked from the friday 13 october till friday 20 october told owner would not arrive till sunday 15 october when arrived after 300 mile drive place cold owner did not put heating on controls only from his house heating was not put on at any time microwave had food in from last tennant ate out left place quickly on tuesday morning 17 october enough said never again /

We have just returned from a great stay at Underfell.

The property is very well equipped with modern devices, and was very clean and comfortable. Gareth and Kirsti were very helpful and friendly both before and during our stay and we appreciated the welcome pack with goodies. Our dog loved the totally secure garden. Would thoroughly recommend for a quiet stay slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main Lake District - about 30 minutes from Lake Windermere. There are several good pubs with food in the area, though unfortunately the pub in the village was closed during our stay. We would recommend the Lunesdale Arms and The Highwayman for decent food not too far away.

Lovely, comfortable modern accommodation, spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay.

Welcome wine and eggs were much appreciated. The large secure garden was a great bonus. Ideally located for trips to the Lakes and Dales with some local walks on the doorstep. Shame that the local pub in the village is shut but we walked to Holme to the Smithy Inn where food was excellent.

Fabulous place to stay.

Really comfortable, very private and well equipped, including a Nespresso machine. Large enclosed garden so we could leave the doors open and let our (escapologist) Akita roam without worry. Loads of great walks, beaches and places to visit. Everything was 15-20 minutes drive so a great base, Bowness only 30 mins. Had a very relaxed holiday and Gareth even ordered good weather for us too ;)

This is the best Sykes cottage we have ever stayed in.

Everything was perfect. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay really enjoyable. From the little goodie box(thank you)to the fabulous bed linen and towels. The brilliant comfy bed, a kitchen which had everything and patio and garden to sit out in and enjoy the sun. Underfell is definitely the place to stay. Near to a lovely little village, just a short walk away and in the community centre a craft and art exhibition the weekend we were there. Perfect. And I wonder did Gareth even organise the wonderful weather. A great holiday, thank you.

5* - the accommodation was amazing, clean & comfortable and the welcome pack was appreciated and the eggs were awesome and the wine was good too !

! It was close enough to either visit the Lake District or go into North Yorkshire. The weather was kind to so we went for boat trips on Windermere & Ullswater, visited the Laurel & Hardy museum and Classic Car museum at Ulverston. Our dog enjoyed the large enclosed garden - it was perfect and she also enjoyed the beach at Arnside. The pubs at nearby Kirby Lonsdale were good and all dog friendly too. The owner Gareth - what an amazing guy - he visited us when we arrived and gave us local knowledge and was available throughout our week if needed. When we got home I realised I had left my toothbrush and iPad charger and upon contacting Gareth he came straight back to me even though he was away on holiday and he got them posted back to me. We would highly recommend this accommodation and if you want something a little bigger there is Palm Court next door. We definitely will return to Underfell. Tracey & Andy - April 2023

The owner was very accommodating and helpful. The garden was very secure for our little dog. It was easy to find plenty of places to visit. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed. I would have no reservations in recommending this bungalow.

Lovely property with all the facilities and equipment you could need.

The owner is on hand for any other questions or information. There are maps and guides for walking and touring either locally or further afield. The location is great for exploring the lakes or the dales. The garden is also fully secure for a dog/dogs.

Relaxing warm and peaceful . Great for our dogs, the garden was spacious and safe, the dogs couldn't escape haha. The owner Gareth was on hand if we needed him. Accommodation was clean and modern. It was great would definitely go again!!

having stayed only one night due to receiving a call about a family issue back home we left at 9.

00am the following morning. we never got the chance to un pack or settle in, so its hard to give feed back other than on appearance which was truly amazing and the owner came over as some one that really cared for you to enjoy your stay. A bottle of prosseco and some beers in the fridge, biscuits and chocs on the side was a very nice gesture.

A perfect place to explore or simply relax.

The hosts are first class - not intrusive but always there if needed. This was our third visit and we have already booked for next year.

We really enjoyed our stay, private, comfortable and warm in a very private and beautiful residential area.

Plenty of parking on site and well located to visit Lake Windermere only half an hour away by car. Local supermarkets, pubs, post office etc. Great wee find!

We would highly recommend this clean, modern, well equipped compact bungalow situated in a convenient location for touring the South Lakes and Yorkshire Dales areas, especially for people who have dogs and require a safe and secure lawned area for them. The cottage is very well appointed and decor and furnishings are excellent. A nice enclosed grassed area is ideal for my two Scotties. Gareth is always very attentive and will go out his way to be of help. Location is ideal for Lakes, Dales .

What a beautiful place, we were met by Gareth who went through everything with us when we arrived.

We had everything you could want in the property. All the best equipment including the lovely shower. The garden was great for the dogs, and it’s also a good base for beautiful places to visit. Will definitely book to stay again.

Gareth was brilliant and called to say we could access the property early.

He was there to meet us and show us around and then left us to it. It was nice to know he was close by if we needed any help. Underfell was just amazing! It was perfect and we had a lovely relaxing break in great comfort. The garden area was perfect for the dog, and the Bi-fold doors were lovely as we were very fortunate with the weather. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely cottage in a quiet area.

Comfortable bed, spacious living area opening on to a large paved patio and enclosed grassed garden. Great for the dog. Nothing much in the village, just one pub and a small village shop but a great base for exploring.

Gareth came to see if we were ok just after we arrived and unfortunately we have 2 travel sick dogs-he was very helpful with upholstery cleaner,so thank you so much!! Underfell is a lovely place, there is a fantastic enclosed lawned garden for our two Dachshunds to chase around in. Beds are very comfy and the whole place is very cosy.There’s a lovely reading area with books galore to entertain on days you want to relax.The sun ☀️ is on the garden all day long which is wonderful. We had my 85 year old Mum with us so didn’t venture too far but the village is cute to walk to and there is a brilliant farm shop only 10 mins drive away. The facilities at Underfell are second to none- plenty of everything you would need-iron & board,washing line & pegs Paul Smith hairdryer ,you name it Underfell has it!! Thank you for a great stay!!

When we arrived Gareth came to greet us made myself and my mum very welcome, the place was better than anticipated and the best equipped that we have been too.

It’s brilliantly sited to get to all the towns and the setting of the property is perfect. Already re booked for next year.

We stay here regularly and cannot fault it. Very clean and the owners are so attentive. Syated in lots of cottages over the years and this is our favourite. Would highly recommend and will be returning again in a few months.

A lovely place to stay the owners left a lovely little welcome pack which after 6 hours in the car was definitely needed.

A modern extremely clean place with everything you could possibly need. couldn't fault a thing. the enclosed garden was great for the huskies. Underfell is situated in Burton in Kendal which is not to far away from the lakes and some lovely walks. A relaxing break. definitely staying again . 10/10 accommodation

Perfect stay, made very welcome by the owner Gareth.

Greeted with lovely welcoming pack that even included fresh eggs from the owners chickens. Beautiful property that had everything we needed. Big enclosed garden for our dog Oscar. Brilliant location for exploring the all around the lake district. A short walk into the village is a must for a delicious meal in the local pub. Definitely recommend and wont hesitate to return.

Lovely property, lovely owner next door, nothing to much trouble, very friendly, highly recommend, great for dog ,enclosed large garden, perfect, Highly recommend for lake district visits, close by, Has everything you could want, thankyou.

Underfell is excellent, every comfort and amenity has been provided, including a washing machine.

The accommodation is so well presented and the rooms are a very good size for 2 or 3 people. Lovely terrace which would be a bonus in good weather and an enclosed garden for your dog. It's a short walk down onto Main Street and the Kings Arms for some 'pub grub' and the staff were really friendly- dog friendly too. We didn't do any 'proper' rambling on Public Footpaths, as we had some rain, but were able to walk our dog down onto Main Street and through the village for his daily walks. Underfell is in a good location for visiting more of the Lake District and despite some rain we got to Lancaster, Silverdale, Arnside, Windermere and Bowness.The owner, Gareth, was extremely helpful when I found I had forgotten something on our return home. Would highly recommend.

This property is absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to return back here.

Gareth was absolutely great, so kind, thoughtful and chatty! We felt right at home here and our fur babies LOVED it!!! Things close by and the people in the village were great too. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. You will not regret booking this property. Beautiful countryside right on your doorstep & vets 3 mins from the place which come in handy whilst we was away. If you are thinking of booking, do not hold back. Also, the shower was unbelievable - didn’t want to get out of it!! I don’t have one thing to fault about this property/area :)

Gareth and Kirstie were excellent hosts - we didn’t see much of them, but they were always available by phone if we needed any help - a perfect combination. Underfell was well-designed, comfortable and well equipped. It’s in a great position to explore the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales as well as all the local attractions. We were sorry to leave!

Great place to stay.

Ideal location for sight seeing. All mod cons but user friendly even for us dinosaurs. Top quality appliances/bedding etc. Spotlessly clean. Super dog friendly with secure patio +garden. Everything there from coffee to cleaning materials to make your stay comfortable. Owners very welcoming +on hand for local knowledge/problems etc. Definitely would stay at this or adjoining property if wanted another staycation in this area. Hope owners get the recognition they deserve for all their hard work.

The property was wonderful, a lovely home from home for the week.

The owner Gareth came to see us on arrival and gave us some hints and tips, plus told us where everything was. He was a really nice chap and very accommodating. Underfell itself is in a quiet location, is well appointed with all the amenities you would expect. We found it to be a good place to travel to some of the main locations and would happily stay there again; the peace and quiet was wonderful!

The owner Gareth was a great help and nothing was to small. It has a wonderful enclosed garden which our fur baby absolutely loved. All in all this property gets 10/10 from us and we would highly recommend it.

Stayed at Underfell last week and absolutely loved it!

The accommodation was very well layed out, clean, modern and comfortable. The large enclosed back garden was perfect for our dog and the central location ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Gareth the owner was there to greet us on arrival, a nice touch from him was the complimentary wine. Thank you Gareth, we are already planning our next trip.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we had a fantastic time and will definitely try and stay there again.

Would recommend it to anyone else.

Great base location to explore the Lake District without the hustle and bustle, great garden for kids to play and comfortable well designed property if you just want a chilled day in.

Well equipped with everything you'd need. Enclosed garden was great for the dog. Some great walks not far from the door. We'll most definitely be back!

Lovely clean cottage with everything that you need.

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful area too with great access to the M6.

Owners were very welcoming and the cottage was well equipped for all your holiday needs. Dog friendly too as mainly all on one level. Local hotel/pub does great food and the village store has all your essentials but there's a decent sized Tesco 10mins drive away in Carnforth. Will definitely return to explore this area of the lakes more in the future and would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Great location for access to the Lakes, super clean cottage with comfy bed and really dog friendly - amazing garden which was secure for our two dogs - would highly recommend!

We had a fab Christmas at underfell .

high quality furnishings the most comfiest bed ever. a big enclosed garden perfect for our dog.private too. huge patio area. very quiet area on a secluded private road. good location to access the lakes or lancaster or the yorkshire dales.would visit again .

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at underfell, the accommodation was clean and spacious, welcome pack very good.

Our 2 dogs loved the garden which is a good size. We enjoyed exploring the area and within a few minutes walk there is a small shop and pub,which you can sit outside weather permitting. Aldi Tesco and booths supermarkets within a 5-10 min drive, also found a very nice Chinese takeaway called peking Chinese. Overall we would definitely stay here again we loved the area you can go a short drive and find some great walks 10 out of 10 Gareth the owner next door if you need him nothing was too much trouble, very helpful.

Underfell never fails to disappoint.

The cottage as always was spotless with everything you need for a weeks stay. Fantastic big enclosed rear garden for the dog. Great improvement on the sofa's making our stay even more comfortable.In a fantastic location to explore the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. Gareth as always the perfect host. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Lovely place, clean and tidy, big garden for dogs to run around.

The only negative was guest next door making a lot of noise at night, and the owner laying carpets at 10pm at night.

This was best cottage we have stayed in by far.

. The garden in massive our 2 staffies Peaches and Stanley loved it. There was everything you needed. From coffee pots down to cleaning products even a flannel in the bathroom. The owner Gaz was brilliant, we had a problem with the heating and he sorted it right away.. Would definitely stay here again.

Gracious hosts who were there if you needed them but left you to it. Great having an enclosed garden for the dog to run about. All in all a great holiday rental! Would recommend

We loved our stay at Underfell it was a stunning property would definitely stay again .

There was nothing we did not like apart from no curtains or blinds at the lounge window , I know we was not over looked but at night when it was dark I think I would have felt more comfortable knowing we could close the curtain or blinds as it was a big window but that’s the only thing that was a negative to us the rest of the stay was perfect .!

What an amazing cottage Underfell is!

The welcome hamper was a great touch. It was so clean & everything we needed for a short break. The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog. It was in a great location with a dog friendly pub not more than a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be staying here again.

Underfell was amazing.

Very clean. Tidy and home from home. Garreth the owner was very welcoming and left a lovely welcome pack. We stayed for 5 nights but wished we could of stayed longer. Best holiday home we have ever stayed in so we are definitely going back. I would recommend this property and palm court next door to anyone who wants a lovely relaxing holiday. Our little dogs also loved all the beautiful walks we went on. Garreth and his wife should be very proud. Thanks again.

Underfell is a beautiful clean place, the best I've been too and will be going back

This accommodation exceeded our expectations there was a welcome hamper which was unexpected but very appreciated.

The coffee machine was also an added bonus. We had a great weekend and Gareth was very kind and advised of local places to visit. We will have no hesitation in returning to this area and to this accommodation.

The cottage was great, a warm and friendly welcome from the owner and some nice touches like a coffee machine and a lovely welcome pack.

A good location for exploring the lake district.

Gareth made us very welcome on arrival and nothing was to much trouble we also received a very nice welcome pack which was much appreciated the accommodation was perfect for our stay all items you could think of were catered for and it was like a home from home for our dog the area is so peaceful and great for access to the Lakes and also Kirby Lonsdale which we visit regularly so I would not hesitate to recommend and will visit again in the near future.

Very warm welcome by Gareth and was excellent in sharing his local knowledge and looked after us well.

Definitely exceeded our expectations. Will use again.

Modern cottage all on one level except for small step inside from kitchen to rest of cottage.

Everything you could need was provided. Unexpected welcome basket even had something for the dog. The dog loved the garden which was large and secure. The only downside for me was the height of the step into the property (I have mobility issues) but we manage to get round that and the seating in the lounge was on the low side, difficult to get out of if you are tall but neither of these issues spoilt our time there. Highly recommend and we look forward to revisiting.

This property was really smart and modern.

Lovely kitchen, bed was really large. The dogs loved the huge very safe and enclosed garden. The shower wet room was superb. The welcome basket was not expected and was wonderful. The only negative points if you could call them that were the chairs in the living room were very low , difficult to get out of if you have any disability. The two televisions had poor service could only watch a few channels. Unfortunately since we made our booking the owners have reduced the amount of dogs from 2 to 1 which means we won't be able to come back. With the dogs.. Great location for accessing all areas of the Lake District .

Gareth and his wife go all out to make you feel really welcome, they gave us the low down on the area and mentioned some great places to visit . The accommodation is kept to a very high standard and was spotless. A real home from home. A lovely welcome pack awaited us on our arrival. We will definitely be back again

Located in a pleasant area convenient for both lakes and dales.

Ample off road parking on arrival. Very welcoming owner settled us in and explained facilities. A lovely welcome pack had been left for us which was a nice touch. The property was exactly as described, the garden ideal for the dog as she could romp about and not escape. The facilities were very modern and comprehensive, everything you are likely to need was to hand and of good quality. Excellent shower room and particularly enjoyed the ability to open up both the bedroom and lounge to the terrace using the bifold doors. The owners are near to hand if required and very keen that you should enjoy your stay. There is a pleasant pub serving food a short walk away in the village along with a shop and butcher/bakers. We would definitely return.

Owner was welcoming as was the local village. Everyone raving about welcome pack in visitors book, yes it was very lovely. Extremely comfortable beds loads of storage and a very well appointed kitchen. Owners had gone to the trouble of buying new coffee Great wet room with cool shower. Perfect garden for my dog no way he was getting out of it. Overall a lovely relaxing stay I would totally recommend this property.

Underfell was a lovely cottage to stay in for the following reasons: - Dog friendly - All hard floor with rugs making it ideal for wet/dirty doggy paws, a large enclosed grassy back garden for the dog to play.

- Spacious - As a couple with smallish dog (Cockapoo) we found the size of the property ideal. - location - Whilst the property is at the very south of Cumbria, we found it ideal for visiting the lakes or Lancashire due to easy access to the M6 - Equipment - The cottage is well equipped with everything that you could need from dishwasher & washing machine to glasses and cutlery - The owner - The owner is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive I would highly recommend this cottage and we certainly intend to return.

Perfect location for what we where after, easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.

The accommodation was superb , modern and clean and it had everything that we needed for a week's stay,and a large secure rear garden for the dog too, a real credit to the owner. Gareth couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. We will most definitely be booking here again

We have just had a lovely week in this fabulous cottage its is spotless and full of what you need, when we arrived we were welcomed with a nice welcome basket which was a lovely gesture .

shop and pub both 5 mins walk in to village and you can take the dog in with you and it is central for lots of lovely walks will definitely be going back it's a great place

The most generous welcome pack we've had in any cottage.

Very modern and stylish but would benefit from some practical additions eg coat rail near entrance, hooks on doors for bathrobes etc. We also struggled with using microwave due to it being situated high up! Bedroom had a lovely super king size bed but unfortunately mattress was too hard for me. Garden was lovely as was patio area... dog very happy.

Lots of lovely treats, wine, soft drinks food and toiletries. Very warm comfortable accommodation. King size bed with comfy mattress and quality linen. Good t.v.s

The cottage was in an ideal location with easy access to Yorkshire/Lancs dales and the Lake District.

The cottage was modern and open plan, light and airy. It is in a very quiet location. The Landlord lived next door and was very helpful and friendly and provided some lovely additional goodies to enjoy during our stay. The local pub in the village was dog friendly and had excellent food and friendly service.
