“Really lovely lodge, situated in a beautiful location.”

The property was clean and laid out well in general. Just a few things that could be addressed…The kettle was full of thick gooey limescale so we used a pan to boil our water. The cooker hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were some dirty glasses and pots in the cupboard. We do understand that cleaners are paid for these things so don’t hold this against the owners, but may be worth monitoring. We do understand that cleaners are paid for these things so don’t hold this against the owners, but may be worth monitoring. A welcome pack would have been nice considering the cost of the lodge (we paid £1,200 for 1 week) I had wanted to vacuum and mop whilst there, however the Hoover pipe had a tear in it and the mop head was black. As stated before, the property really is lovely and comfortable, just a little tired and could benefit from a fresh lick of paint and a few new appliances to reflect the cost of the stay here, as do feel it was overpriced for what we got, had we paid a few hundred less this is what we would expect. All in all we did enjoyed our holiday.
