Bettys Loft is absolutely lovely!

We really loved our stay. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. Hawkshead is a great location to stay, within driving distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. You can do some lovely walks from the doorstep too. Helpful information on the local area was provided.

Can’t remember the number of times we have stayed here, but we keep coming back and will be back again soon!

The accommodation is well kept and always nice and warm, great facilities, clean and tidy. Thoroughly recommend anyone to stay and a short walk into the village with plenty of choice of food, drink and beautiful walks.

This was the first time we had visited Betty’s Loft and we found it absolutely charming.

Everything was spotless and clean and cosy, however we found the shower was not very powerful to give a good overall wash…..but that was just a minor thing. We had everything we needed and the owner was always very nice and helpful when we contacted her if we had any issues. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to anyone else wishing to stay in the beautiful village of Hawkshead

The property was lovely.

It was close enough to the village to walk to the pubs but on the outskirts to enjoy the quiet that night time brings. The views from the lounge are stunning when the weather is clear. We had everything we needed and an incredible shower, however the bed is not suited for two adults. It is far too small with a tilted mattress thar tips you out so following a couple of very uncomfortable nights, we had to resort to separate rooms. We have noticed having used Hideaways company for years, that you don't receive the personal touch anymore with Sykes. Hideaways had a central Hawkshead office and were always on hand for a friendly chat, advice and support with the property you were staying in. Moreover Sykes have pretty much outpriced most of holiday population to visiting the Lakes, as the prices are now truly eye watering.

Fabulous stay.

Comfortable, clean & warm apartment. A short stroll to the village centre, shops & places to eat. The parking is a little tight but a bonus to have on site. We would definitely recommend & hope to return.

What a super property to stay in.

Very clean and modern with everything you could ask for. The bed was very comfortable, as was the reclining sofa. We ate out so did not really use the kitchen facilities but it looked very well equipped and thought out. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio after walking all day. Would certainly book again if revisiting this part of the Lakes and would to recommend to family or friends.

What a beautiful little property.

Very well equipped and located in a gorgeous village with great bus links and local amenities, including a Co-Op and a pharmacy. A proper little home from home with great views and walks from the door. We'll definitely be back one day to do more exploring.

A lovely short break at Bettys Loft.

We liked the fact everything appeared clean and new fittings and furnishings, especially the reclinable sofa! Plenty of hot water and heating easy to boost as cold at start of the week. Only issue was a damaged dining chair but this was quickly replaced first thing the next morning. Very convenient for all shops and amenities in Hawkshead and some great walks and runs straight from the front door. We would have no hesitation in recommending Betty's loft to a couple or family of 3.

The property was conveniently located a very short walk to the village.

It was immaculate inside with everything to make our stay a wonderful experience. We would definitely return here.

High quality fixtures and fittings and very comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay in the comfortable apartment.

Enjoyed reclining in the sofa after a day of walking. A variety of walks from the front door. Easy access to Coniston and Ambleside by bus. One of the hob rings is not working as mentioned by a previous reviewer but wouldn’t stop us from staying there again.

Betty’s Loft is a very comfortable holiday home.

It is close to the village centre and less than 5 mins walk to Tourist Information Office and bus terminal (buses to Ambleside every 30 mins for £2 single journey). From Ambleside you can travel up and down Windermere by ferry or bus for a reasonable cost. From the cottage there are numerous short walks. The cottage itself is clean and well equipped. I’d have no hesitation recommending it and I’d definitely like to return some time.

Fantastic property, amazing position within the town to walk everywhere.

The flat was very clean, everything needed was already provided, no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend as long as you’re okay with stairs!

The only issue we had was the quilts in both rooms.

They were very thick quilts and it was very warm even with the heating not on when sleeping. Other than that, everything was perfect and will definitely be looking to stay here again next year.

Nice cottage, very warm and clean and well furnshed, only let down by the electric hob which has one ring not working.

The apartment was decorated to a high spec and was spotless and comfortable.

Small, but it had everything we needed and in a lovely setting so close to the village centre. A great base for exploring the Lakes. We really loved this property

Was a perfect Homebase for the 5 weeks we spent in the Lakes.

Hawkshead is a beautiful village and the loft is right there only steps away from village centre. It was clean and comfortable and we even received fresh linens and kitchen cleaning items every week. We loved our stay and can’t wait to be back.

Great little flat.

It was a perfect space for my best friend and I, albeit very small, it had everything we needed and more. We were provided fresh linens and kitchen supplies each week and the flat is equipped with everything we needed to stay functional during a 5 week stay. We very much enjoyed our time at Betty’s Loft!

The apartment was lovely and clean and facilities spot on.We did two walks from the property on the first two days ,the rest of the week we travelled by bus to different destinations ,meaning we did not need to use the car at all.The shops and bus stop were situated very conveniently.Thank You.
