“We absolutely loved our stay at Milford Cottage, it was truly a home away from home and so cosy that we didn’t want to leave!”

Beds were lovely and comfy, great having the log burner for cosy evenings in. Good location for exploring the surrounding areas. There isn’t any shops or pubs in Great Corby unless the pub across the road is open when you visit (I think they only serve drinks) but there are big supermarkets only a 10 minute drive away. There’s also some small shops, a cafe and pubs in the village across the viaduct which is about a 20 minute leisurely walk away. So if you’re planning on having dinner at ...

So if you’re planning on having dinner at home then make sure you have everything you need as there’s no corner shop you can easily pop to. The small yard at the back is completely enclosed, even big dogs wouldn’t be able to get out. The front garden is bigger but the fences/walls are quite short, would be okay for smaller dogs with supervision, like our Welsh terrier who’s not very good at jumping! The back yard doesn’t seem to get any sun so we sat in the front garden in our camp chairs a few times as that gets lovely sun most of the day. I’d definitely recommend a stay here, we’d love to go back at some point!
