A lovely cottage in a beautiful village with Wetheral only a short walk away.

The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed for a great stay.and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend and we’ll be back I’m sure Thanks!

Amazing comfy clean cottage, highest of standards throughout everything you need in the kitchen, the lounge was stunning and sofa so comfy!

Gorgeous comfy beds, Some gorgeous little walks around and about short walk into the next village gorgeous little pub with home cooked food called the Wheatsheaf we will certainly love to return

Very comfortable and clean and a great location. The pub was being renovated but it is walking distance (in decent weather) to Weatherall.

We absolutely loved our stay at Milford Cottage, it was truly a home away from home and so cosy that we didn’t want to leave!

Beds were lovely and comfy, great having the log burner for cosy evenings in. Good location for exploring the surrounding areas. There isn’t any shops or pubs in Great Corby unless the pub across the road is open when you visit (I think they only serve drinks) but there are big supermarkets only a 10 minute drive away. There’s also some small shops, a cafe and pubs in the village across the viaduct which is about a 20 minute leisurely walk away. So if you’re planning on having dinner at home then make sure you have everything you need as there’s no corner shop you can easily pop to. The small yard at the back is completely enclosed, even big dogs wouldn’t be able to get out. The front garden is bigger but the fences/walls are quite short, would be okay for smaller dogs with supervision, like our Welsh terrier who’s not very good at jumping! The back yard doesn’t seem to get any sun so we sat in the front garden in our camp chairs a few times as that gets lovely sun most of the day. I’d definitely recommend a stay here, we’d love to go back at some point!

Great cottage immaculately presented with excellent facilities.

Set in a great location perfect for exploring Carlisle, Solway coast and Hadrian's wall. Minutes from the motorway but located in the beautiful surroundings of Eden Valley. There are a couple of very good pubs/hotel bar over the trian bridge in Weatheral around a 15min strole With the local village pub looking set to reopen soon we will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Milford.

Lovely traditional stone-built cottage with helpful owners who have clearly spent a lot of time successfully renovating it into a place that felt like a modern home from home. It had absolutely everything we needed, including a fully-equipped kitchen that meant we had the option of eating in (as well as out in the adjacent village), the bonus of a wood-burning stove to warm our feet after our days out, & a very comfy bed. The location is perfect: genuinely rural but with everything you need a short drive away. The village itself is quaint with some peaceful riverside paths, quick walk to the local train station that takes you to the centre of historic Carlisle in 9 mins, not far from the North Pennines / Hadrian’s Wall, & less than an hour’s drive to the Lake District. Although shut for renovation during our stay, the inn on the village green is literally around the corner, and the alternative country pub is just 20 mins walk away in Wetheral. We loved our stay. Our dog loved his stay. Strongly recommend.

This is a really well newly renovated property and the photos don't quite do it justice.

The kitchen and the living room have everything you will need and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The only downsides might be the very small shower room (but with fabulous shower) the pub carpark opposite and the very small yard at the back. However these are small issues compared with the fantastic comfort of the house. It would be helpful to have an information booklet for local information, house instructions and a contact number.
