    “Would thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage.”

    It is so central for Windermere but in a really quiet street. Very well equipped and a cosy place to come back to after a busy day. One very small request would be for bath sheets,as we found the bath towels on the small side. Would definitely return.

Before entering the homely living/dining area, which is furnished with plush seating, a sleek gas fire, a Smart TV, and dining for four, park your car in the car port or make use of the available permit. Travel into the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you'll need for a self-catered stay, including a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Rustle up and enjoy meals with your loved ones, toasting to your break, before retiring to sleep in one of the two king-size bedrooms available; the first bedroom has a TV, an en-suite shower room, and offers flexibility with a zip/link function. Complete your morning routine in the contemporary bathroom, before exploring the town on foot and arriving at a hub of shops, cafés, and pubs, including The Lamplighter Dining Rooms, The Windermere Pig, and the Brookside Inn. Take to the water for an afternoon of kayaking or paddleboarding at the Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre, hike to Orrest Head Viewpoint for breath-taking views of the lake or explore the Holehird Gardens. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
