Claife Heights, a two-bedroom, second-floor apartment located in Windermere, Cumbria, is a wonderful place to stay.

Located in the heart of the Lake District, Claife Heights is a wonderful base for a romantic getaway or a family holiday in the Lake District. Park-up in the off-road parking space in the private car park, before climbing the stairs up to your new home from home.

Be welcomed into the contemporary living/dining room, where you can unwind on the plush seating in front of the large Smart TV with your favourite tipple. In the well-equipped kitchen, cook up a feast for four or two to enjoy at the dining table or out on the balcony, where you can take in the breathtaking views of Claife Heights.

After a day of sightseeing, relax in the bath or freshen up with a shower, then choose from one of the two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a king-size or a twin, both with plenty of storage space for your belongings.

Explore the bustling town, where you'll find a wide variety of pubs and restaurants, including The Pig, which serves British fare, and Francine's, which specialises in fresh seafood and other delicacies.

From the vantage points of Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head, walkers and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy some of the best views of the Langdale Pikes.

Lake Windermere is just moment’s away, which means you'll have plenty of time to enjoy water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding.

The Windermere Jetty Museum, the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, and the Windermere Golf Club are just a few of the town's other attractions.

Head over to Ambleside, where you will be able to visit the Armitt Library and Museum Centre or the beautiful Stock Ghyll Force, or if that's not your thing, head to Grasmere, where you can see the former home of great poet William Wordsworth.

Helvellyn and Fairfield can be added to your holiday itinerary if you travel further afield. Adventure awaits at Claife Heights.

Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
