The craftsman made bespoke breakfast kitchen has all you may need and with a separate utility too. Upstairs to the two spacious bedrooms and where the views get even better, both bedrooms are super king size yet one can be made into a twin bedded room, so please do specify at the time of booking? The bathroom is a luxury place with a view to die for and complete with deep double ended bath and separate power shower facility. This exceptional Elterwater cottage residence boasts some of the most spectacular Lake District scenery. It provides a peaceful retreat whether you wish to walk the Langdale Pikes, photograph the spectacular waterfalls or simply escape from the crowds.

Elterwater village sits between Ambleside and Great Langdale. The small nearby Elterwater tarn is a delight to behold, and can be reached via a path from the Britannia Inn . Only a short drive will take you to vibrant Ambleside village and the shores of Lake Windermere. There you'll find a sophisticated range of shops for stocking up the kitchen, acclaimed Lake District restaurants and Windermere Lake Cruises departing from Waterhead Pier providing a scenic route to Bowness and Lakeside!

Also nearby is picture perfect Hawkshead and Coniston Water, the Lake District's third largest lake. There you'll find more opportunities for boating activities, perhaps discovering Peel Island - featured in Arthur Ransome's Swallows & Amazons as 'Wild Cat Island'
