“The house is set in a stunning location.”

Stunning views. It was clean and comfortable. our only disappointment was that the hot tub jets weren’t all working or didn’t seem to be working properly so no real bubbling effect. It was great that there was a fresh supply of plenty of towels. Tea and coffee was plentiful enough for the weekend. My only advice for the hosts would be an extra supply of toilet rolls would have been useful as well as salt and pepper, only as we had forgotten ours. The garden was a haven to wildlife, we saw ...

The garden was a haven to wildlife, we saw a deer, sheep and lots of birds all came to visit. We were all mesmerised by the steam strain going past, certainly entertained the children. Over all an enjoyable stay

Thank you so much for your kind comments. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay. I've got new hot tub jets on order but they seem to take a long time to be shipped, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you Miles Property Owner

About the location

ESKDALE GREEN

Coniston 10 miles.

The small village of Eskdale Green sits amongst beautiful Lakeland countryside and consists of a scattering of cottages, some farm dwellings and a number of outstanding traditional English pubs serving good food. An area relatively unknown to many Lakeland visitors, this great location boasts a skyline dominated by the towering peaks of Scafell - England's highest peak, as well as Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell, whilst the nearby stunning valleys of Eskdale, Wasdale, Ennerdale and Dunnerdale provide breathtaking and ever-changing scenery to be enjoyed throughout the year. The valley is notable as being one of few major valleys in the Lake District not to have its own lake, although several tarns are perched above the valley sides. Local attractions include Muncaster Castle, the World Owl Centre and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway, one of the most beautiful train journeys imaginable. With both beautiful Wastwater - the deepest lake in the country and St Olaf's - the smallest church, amongst the many well known landmarks in this awe inspiring and beautiful area also within easy reach, this stunning location will have visitors returning time and time again.
