The 2 low wooden beams across the main bedroom and the adjacent landing of this traditional style Lakeland farmhouse are approximately 173cm (5ft 8in) above the floor.
For the taller members of our family who weren't used to low beams a thin, soft, bright piece of cloth (we used ties) hung over each beam was a good reminder to duck.
The house agents, Sykes Cottages/Lakelovers did take ages to answer the phone, having replied neither to some messages left on their website nor emails.
However when we did eventually get through to the agents a couple of days before the start of our stay, the agents were efficient, effective and able to action and resolve all of our queries, for which many thanks!
