    “Disappointing.”

We have already articulated our concerns. Fridge froze our salad and vegetables. Garden table and chairs in lounge area plus appallingly uncomfortable sofa not fit for purpose. Therefore no comfortable seating.Vacuum cleaner and Quooker tap not working which caretaker acknowledged. Owner appeared to recognize our concerns but not interested. Hot tub poorly situated. Previous reviews concur.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear of your disappointment and the issues you experienced. We have read all your correspondence and fully investigated. The fridge is cleaned at every turn over and there were no issues prior to your arrival or since. As with all fridges, if the airflow or defrost holes are blocked or food items packed in such a way that they touch the back and stop water escaping properly during the cooling cycle, the water pools at the bottom and freezes, which in turn can freeze items in the crisper draw. The vacuum cleaner had recently been repaired prior to your arrival and the caretaker hadn’t at the time realised that a part had not been reattached until you alerted him to the vacuum cleaner not working. He was able to refit the part the same day and he had offered a replacement while he did this, which you had declined. The Quooker tap is and was working during your stay and instead it was the case of not being able to operate it properly. The caretaker informed me he had demonstrated how to use it, but after discussing this with him, he may not have made it clear to double tap the button. The type we have is the push, push, turn right operating button and basic instructions can be found in the information pack provided in the property. The dining table and chairs are of a high quality. We opted for outdoor furniture for it’s durability and versatility. When the patio doors are open it can create an indoor-outdoor experience. The sofa had been reported before for various reasons and after each report we investigated and remedied. When originally installed it had not been configured properly and then issues were attributed to the cushions, of which, the internals were flipped. It is unfortunate that during your stay, it was discovered that a section of elastic webbing had overstretched and offered little support. The caretaker advised us of this and he has since added a high density foam and wooden frame to support the webbing under the seating area. The hot tub is situated on a private terrace. For those guests, who have limited mobility or who are not comfortable with the steps to the terrace, the bathroom has been fitted with a spa bath. To say we are not interested is unfair and we strive to maintain our high standards. The way we have furnished the property may not be to everyone’s liking and the images provided on the website provide a window into the property for all to see. Property Owner
