    “A great stay!”

I'm afraid there is a leak in the shower attachment for bedroom 2 (the one with the bath in the room). It's leaking quite hard, so it's not possible to use the shower.

Be drawn in by the pleasant sitting area as soon as you enter; with lovely furniture, a Smart TV, and a woodburning stove, it offers a refuge to wrap up with loved ones and watch a family favourite after a day of adventures.

Explore the well-equipped kitchen/diner next, where the group's assigned chef may prepare a hearty dinner that can be eaten while discussing the highlights of your journey thus far.

Alternatively, select from two inviting outside seating areas to enjoy al fresco dining or a late-night drink.

Each of the three delightfully appointed bedrooms upstairs has a Smart TV, en-suite bathroom, and is furnished to a high standard.

They provide a flexible and private space where you can lose yourself in a book, enjoy some alone time, or indulge in a movie night before another busy day.

On nights when you don't feel like cooking, enjoy the breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside from the comfort of your own freestanding bath or wash up in a spacious shower room before going to the local bar.

For those wishing to fully immerse themselves in the town's rich history, there is also the lovely St. Martin's church from the fifteenth century nearby, as well as the The World of Beatrix Potter attraction.

Ambleside, which is further out, is known as a walker's paradise.

There are many routes that start close to the Waterhead Pier and offer stunning views of the area's undulating hills and cascading sceneries.

William Wordsworth lived in Rydal Mount and Gardens, which is rich in local culture and literature and a wonderful place to spend time outside.

About the location

GRASMERE

Ambleside 5 miles; Windermere 9 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family has been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century, and Grasmere Lake. Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere, and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.
