The short walk brings you into the very heart of Grasmere village with a fine array of tea rooms and shops, and a range of places to eat from Michelin Starred Forest side less than a five minute walk from the cottage, local bistros to the cosy village pubs.
Walks abound in this part of the Lake District from gentle rambles along the lakeshore or to take in the stunning views from Loughrigg Fell or head higher onto the fells to bag a “Wainwright” or two including Fairfield, Helvellyn and Helm Crag all of which the more adventurous can conquer direct from the door!

Park on the paved driveway and two steps lead to the front door that opens to a large hallway that runs through the property and offers plenty of space for coats, boots and outdoor gear.
The spacious lounge is bright and airy and three comfortable sofas are arranged around a large coffee table, large screen TV and in front of the feature fireplace with a warm and welcoming log burning stove.
Patio doors open to the “Cocktail Patio”, the first of the two patios which is a real suntrap on a summer's afternoon.
Double doors from the lounge open to the large conservatory with family dining table and a secondary seating area with sofa and arm chairs making it the ideal to sit and relax with a good book or the weekend papers.
French doors open from here to the second patio with outdoor dining table, ideal for dinner on warmer evenings.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need throughout your stay and features a range cooker with five ring gas hob, with double electric oven in addition to a fridge/freezer, diswasher, Tassimo coffee maker, microwave and washing machine.
There are three great quality bedrooms to choose from.
To the rear of the cottage the master bedroom is presented with a welcoming king-size bed and complemented with a stylish ensuite shower room.
The second is again presented with a kingsize bed and complemented with an ensuite bathroom with bath with shower over.
The final bedroom is presented as either a super king size or twin bedded room (please specify when booking).
A smart family bathroom offers a bath, separate shower, basin and WC.
A walled garden wraps around the property with planted boarders with mature shrubs, patios and paving.
To the front of the property there is parking for three cars.

This historic Lake District village is famed for its connections with the poet William Wordsworth, who lived in the village at Dove Cottage is open to the public as part of the Wordsworth Museum.
