The bed in main bedroom was extremely comfortable and the shower in the main bathroom was powerful.

We couldn’t get the heating to work upstairs, it was cold and felt damp.
The downstairs toilet was horrendous, it had a terrible sewage smell.
No basics in the kitchen like oil, basic spices, kitchen roll, foil etc.

This cottage wasn’t cheap so we expected better. Overall a very disappointing experience!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the cottage’s location and comfort, but we’re very sorry that other aspects of your stay did not meet expectations.
We always want our guests to have the best possible experience, and it’s disappointing to hear that yours fell short. Had we have known about your concerns during your stay, Lakelovers, who manage the property on our behalf would of course have attended the cottage the same day to rectify any issues. We have a full maintenance and house keeping contract in place with them to ensure that any problems can be resolved promptly.
Regarding the welcome pack, Lakelovers do not provide a fresh/perishable pack, and as we don’t live locally so are unable to supply one ourselves unfortunately. However, we do appreciate how much those small touches mean.
Please be assured that we’ve shared your comments with Lakelovers, and they’ve confirmed that everything has been addressed. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment caused and thank you for your valuable feedback.
