Outside, you will find a plethora of facilities to enjoy on the 5,000 acre estate, some of which includes the heated indoor pool and table tennis room.
And let's not forget the shared outdoor patio area with furniture.
For some local fun, visit Ambleside Climbing Wall, an indoor climbing venue which offers taster sessions, private lessons and even kids clubs.
It is suitable for all ages, there is something for everyone.
With outdoor activities also, from kayaking and rock climbing, to gorge scrambling and hiking, this is not an attraction you want to miss.

We stayed at this Cottage 10 years ago and we loved it then.
On booking our most recent holiday we could see that the property had been upgraded with a hot tub included. Our views on the property were mostly very positive, with only a few niggles - but not enough to spoil our holiday by any means. The rug in the lounge was the first thing we noticed - it is a lovely cream rug - eek, not the best colour to choose for a cottage in the countryside with lots of dirty feet (children/dogs) running around the property - it was quite stained. We also felt that whilst the sofas were replaced with beautiful chairs and a 2 seater sofa, we were fighting over the small sofa as the chairs were not ideal for a relaxing evening in front of the TV. Perhaps 2 x 2 seater sofas would have been more appropriate. I would not in any way say that this spoiled our holiday, it absolutely did not. We would return in a heartbeat. Everything you need in the kitchen, although maybe a new knife set would be beneficial as the existing ones are very blunt. We cannot comment on the hot tub as we did not use it due to the weather conditions. The cottage on the whole is a fabulous country cottage where you immediately feel warm and cosy inside as you enter. The views and surrounding landscape is breathless - we loved saying hi to the welcoming cattle as they wandered around the cottage. Bedrooms are sufficient and cosy, beds comfortable and warm. Kitchen is a great size for a small family - we enjoyed meals around the table. Did not really want to leave to be honest. We used the onsite pool which is great - would advise however, that you get a 45 min slot - at times people may still be finishing off their slot prior to yours and may be getting changed. This can spill in to your time - then you have to be conscious that other folk may be arriving for their slot, so we were getting out of the pool early to get changed in order that we were not preventing the next folk from losing any of their time slot. Perhaps this could be more considered by management, and slots be slightly longer to allow time for changing. We took our granddaughter in to the games room and were pretty disappointed to be honest. It is small, and if folk are playing table tennis there is little room for anyone else to be doing anything. The equipment is old and well used - Im not sure other than replacing some of the equipment, how the games room could be improved due to its size. The staff are lovely and very helpful, we were very appreciative of their help when we needed it. We would very much recommend this cottage to those of you who are looking for a cosy country retreat.
Great elevated location with sweeping views of the Graythwaite Estate.
Walks straight from the front door. Accommodation tastefully decorated and furnished, a home from home. Just a few minor issues, lack of pans with lids and slow draining kitchen sink. Overall would strongly recommend Dove Cottage
