The property

Hawkshead 4.7 miles.

Field Head House is a charming, detached cottage situated on the Graythwaite estate, close to the village of Hawkshead.

A former 17th-century barracks, this cottage has been lovingly furnished and exudes an almost enchanting feel and is perfect for families or groups of friends with plenty of space to keep everyone entertained.

You enter a welcoming landing area, pieced together with an armchair, and intriguing décor.

Two steps up will take you to a sitting room elevated by low lighting, sofas, and armchairs.

Rest in front of the open fire or enjoy dinner at the dining table which is tucked into the layout.

The main dining room is located back across the hallway and is layered with floral wallpaper and the large dining table is ideal for the whole family to gather around come evening.

A contemporary kitchen is light and refreshing, complemented by a breakfast table so you can relax with your coffee in the morning.

On this floor you will also find a second sitting room complete with television and woodburning stove as well as a single and a double room, the latter complete with a dressing table and a walk-in wardrobe.

For your convenience, a neatly styled shower room and bathroom complete the formation.

From the landing, there are stairs down to the lower ground floor complete with a super king-size double bedroom with a traditional overtone and matching bedside tables.

A classic bathroom lies to the side, neighboured by a single bedroom carrying a glimpse of charm.

Outside is where you will want to be on a warm day, admiring the spacious garden with its patio and pond and the beautiful vista across the estate.

Hardy souls can brave the chilled waters of Windermere for an invigorating swim, or enjoy discounts for mountain bike hire in Grizedale Forest, just a short drive away.

For those travelling with children or animal lovers, head south to the South Lakes Safari Zoo or the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, or perhaps remain on the estate and enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool and gym, situated just 500 metres away.

Whatever you decide to do, this Lake District Cottage has everything needed for a great stay at any time of the year.
