“We booked Bank End Barn for a family Christmas, 5 adults, 3 children and 3 dogs.”
We had a fantastic stay, the accommodation was lovely, stunning views and had so many personal touches such as a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations, which made it even more special and welcoming. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and everywhere was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed and we were able to cook Christmas dinner for 8 of us without an issue. Having the whole family sitting around the beautiful kitchen table on Christmas Day was just perfect. The hot tub was another highlight and was enjoyed by both the adults and kids. The dogs also had fun swimming in the stream at the bottom of the garden.
One thing to note is that the property is spread across 3 floors, the kitchen and living room is on the ground floor and the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper floor, and lower ground floor. One member of our family has mobility issues and getting up and down stairs can be a problem, although they managed for the duration of our stay, it is worth noting that although in the facilities list it states that there is a ground floor bedroom, which is why we booked the property, this is not actually the case. Even so it was just a minor issue and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
